"None are older than 23, but their sensibilities are shockingly sculpted for a rap crew of any age -- an iconography forged on upside down cruci?xes, the occasional swastika, Kodachrome colors, skate culture and a slashing irony. They love bacon, cartoons and Eminem. They hate comedian Steve Harvey, school and dance rappers." [LA Times]
Odd Future, who are appearing at Coachella this weekend, will play a string of East Coast dates in middle May including 5/13 at Highline Ballroom. Tickets for the NYC show are on sale. UPDATE: that was quick. All tour dates are below.

Odd Future recently posted a new song featuring Tyler The Creator with Domo Genesis. The track, "Heart of Gold", is reportedly "old as fuck" but you can check it out streaming below.

During SXSW photographer Brook Bobbins followed Odd Future to most of their Austin shows, as did an MTV cameraman. That includes the BrooklynVegan party at Barbarella. More pictures from that one, and from from Mellowhype's appearances at Club Deville (Fat Possum party), Odd Future's show at Scoot Inn (Thrasher Party), and Fader Fort, are all below. Those dates, song stream and MTV's video is down there too...

this site generates some revenue, yes?

You may want to invest in developing some sort of photo gallery/viewer.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2011 3:26 PM

I feel it would be a "bright future" if these fellows retired.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2011 3:27 PM

The above photos will be printed as a flipbook and sold at Urban Outfitters for $16.99

(in July, tose flipbooks will be sitting in the 80% off bin next to an ironic animal/ mustache/ eyepatch/ neon shirt)

"this site generates some revenue, yes?

Um, it doesn't get much easier than scrolling down, dipshit.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2011 5:20 PM

Jeez that was fast. This is going to be some serious scalper bullshit.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2011 5:22 PM

3:46 huh?

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2011 5:54 PM

more sxsw please

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2011 6:06 PM

Golly, look at all those white people

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2011 6:35 PM

I would pay to see these guys if they didnt just rap over their album. From the SXSW shows it seems like they just hit play and rap louder than they did on the album. Who does that? Fucking half-assed, if you ask me.

Posted by Anon | April 12, 2011 6:50 PM

And I would pay to see these guys if they just didn't suck.

Worst hipster bullshit, ever. Bunch of teenage hip hop shit made for pseudo-tough guy hipster dickheads who spend their miserable lives talking trash about any band that has more than five listeners.
Unoriginal and annoying crap.

All the girls standing in line to throw up after the OFKADAENJDNEIUONDIDAEIDAEDEDNE gig.

Posted by Anonymous | April 12, 2011 11:59 PM

remember kids - as long as your black its okay to adovocate rape, murder, misogyny, hatred of jews, hatred of whites, hatred of homosexuals ect ect etc

seriously - where do we draw the line? at what point did we completely abandon all our values? what the fuck happened to music, seriously?

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 1:44 AM

At first you may think that odd future are "dangerous" and "cutting edge" but once you lift up the curtain you will see that they have little wangs and are biting lyrics and beats and they are rather unoriginal. The "hip" urban skateboarder that has this in his iPod as he tags up bathroom walls with a sharpie is the demographic... and although I support youth rebellion in every shape and size, I feel it's truly at an all point low when a group like odd future is seemingly getting the hype it is. They are actually nothing more then a lady gaga type of operation that is an imitator and not am inovator. If we want to discuss hip hop, well let's pit on some mobb deep and roll are backwoods up and nod our heads. This shite is weak right here. Period.

The photos are great, but waiting for them to load made it hella difficult to see the tour dates!!

Posted by robin | April 13, 2011 6:29 AM

Thanks a lot Highline, for arbitrarily releasing tickets at 3 in the afternoon. DICKS.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 8:43 AM

White people at rap shows are so awkward.

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 9:45 AM

I love that people hate this. It makes me like it even more.

Posted by Mizzy | April 13, 2011 2:12 PM

Sure wasn't the case at the House of Pain show, 9:45!

Posted by Anonymous | April 13, 2011 2:26 PM

2:05am is actually on point.

Another thing I found funny is if you look at the crowd in that cabin-esque tent, you'd think it was a Less Than Jake show haha.

Posted by Anonymous | May 11, 2011 10:55 AM

I'm sure Tyler the Creator's constant slurs against gays, including using the word "gay" to mean "lame," and dreams about raping "bitches" are just metaphorical. Count me in!
