Washed Out

Congrats to Ernest Greene whose Washed Out project has inked a deal with Sub Pop Records for his upcoming and debut full-length LP called Within and Without. The new effort is due on July 12th and was recorded with Ben H. Allen, known for behind-the-curtain work with Animal Collective, Deerhunter, Gnarls Barkley, and even Diddy, among others.

So far Washed Out dates are few and far between, but you can look for Greene at the pre-Moogfest party (Halfway to Moogfest), Sasquatch and the newly added Bowery Ballroom on July 11th (the day before the record release). Tickets for the NYC show go on AmEx sale Wednesday (4/27) at noon and regular sale on Friday.

All tour dates, the new album tracklist, and a video, below.

I think chillwave deserves a complete album cycle (Toro Y Moi, Neon Indian, and Washed Out). We can regroup and have our minds made for us by the five or six relevant blogs when they are forming thier best of 2011 lists.
