Best line up of 2011! Adds what Lollapalooza couldn't because of Pitchfork pulling every good band into it!

Decent lineup, but what's with every festival booking the same exact bands? Arcade Fire Kanye DFA 1979 Coldplay Empire Of the Sun Pretty lights etc. etc.

In other words,

WHERE'S THE DAFT PUNK RADIOHEAD COHEADLINER?!?!?!

US festivals 2011 suck balls.

Primavera and ATP owns any US festivals this year...

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 1:57 AM

Wow, what a bummer. After looking at the Sasquatch festival at the Gorge, I thought that ACL would step it up, not mess it up. The line-ups don't even compare. This is 2 years in a row for a sub-par event that used to be the highlight of my year. Guess, I will make the trip somewhere else in September...

Yes, Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr! Wow!

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 3:00 AM

isn't this the same as every other festival this summer?

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 3:36 AM

Stephen Whitfield/// it is because C3 puts on both events and book the same bands usually to play both.

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 6:21 AM

This is actually a very solid lineup.

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 6:57 AM

OOhh Elbow!? Start of a US tour around this date I hope!

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 7:18 AM

Randy Newman, baby!

If you're gonna post about Coldplay and Stevie Wonder, you might as well point out that Foo Fighters are playing the Izod Center on 9/26.

Agreed that the Primavera and ATP festivals (including the NJ one) >>>>>>>> other USA festivals.

But in all serial, none of the big festivals this year have impressive lineups IMO, save maybe P4K because they at least have bands that aren't playing at every other festival, whereas last year Coachella Lolla Camp Bisco Starscape (ya I'm kind of a beatheadz) all had awesome lineups (even ACL had a legit lineup). Bonnaroo's was horrendous last year.

So Um ya enough with booking Kings Of Leon to headline for the 3rd festival of the year or muse or coldplay or dare I say ARCADE FIRE (They did lolla coachella AND Bonnaroo!) and et al with your repititive lineups, we want something no other festival is bringing!

Isn't it the same people that go to these festivals for the most part anyways?

:End of my crackhead random dribbling

Am I allowed to admit that Ultra had a kickass lineup and I would've loved to go? Is that cool on BV or does that make me a shun?

Posted by Stephen Whitfield | May 17, 2011 11:10 AM

The Line-up is sub par at best. Minus Stevie Wonder, DFA 1979 and a few other acts. Its not worth a 3 day pass wrist band, but i'de pay a dollar to go to this for sure.

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 11:24 AM

The best trio of headliners in a really long time.

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 11:37 AM

Thank god for NYC. No need to go to hippie texas to see regularly touring acts.

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 1:21 PM

this fest has the same line up of every fest. the country is cookie cutter and becoming like uk, with all the touring around festivals. festivals don't care about the line up, only what will sell in each city. not that there are bad bands on the bill, but it's just the same shit, different city!

austin psych fest > acl

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 4:31 PM

Just keep putting Patrice Pike and Sarah Hickman in front of people, Austin. It'll never happen.

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 6:36 PM

ehh... not that good of a line up in my opinion. But atlease we have B.S.S, Hayes Carll, Coldwar Kid, oh and KANYE

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 8:19 PM

Daft and Radiohead at Coachella 2012 - done deal.

Posted by Anonymous | May 19, 2011 8:24 AM
