What time does Scott Brosius go on?

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 9:57 AM

free sausage with every purchase

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:03 AM

Pass. Sorry.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:06 AM

ugh, the price of this fucker is killing me...should be 100 bucks max

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:07 AM

This sounds like an amazing concert. For 1991.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:09 AM

10:07, agreed. The California one was $90 but, like a total chump, I paid $225 for the "VIP GA".

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:10 AM

bro alert!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:12 AM

did you get it through the fan club? I don't want to drop $190 for the regular GA and stand way the fuck in the back of Yankee stadium

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:12 AM

10:12,

I got it through the "Radio pre-sale" the password of which I guessed the first time 1019RXP

Yeah, don't drop $190 to stand way the fuck in the back though, just get seats.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:14 AM

all I know is everyone better get there in time to see Anthrax, and nobody better go just to see Metallica.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:22 AM

the 14 year old in me wants to go to this, but the wise man in me knows this will be a big disappointment and not worth the egregious price of entry

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:26 AM

10:26: The wise man in you must not be too wise because the reviews from the California show were amazing.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:27 AM

brosius alert!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:27 AM

^so, does repeating a moronic joke make it funnier?

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:29 AM

^No, it just makes you an a$$hole :)

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:31 AM

"bro alert!"

I'd certainly rather be around bros in Yankee Stadium, than around the trendies in Brooklyn and Manhattan with their noses-up-in-the-air-too-cool-for-school attitudes.

Nothing against you though (I have no idea what you are).

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:33 AM

"ugh, the price of this fucker is killing me...should be 100 bucks max"

figure it's $50 (at least) to see a Metallica show. Another $40-50 for a Slayer show. add to the fact that it's the 2nd concert ever at Yankee stadium (and the 2nd Big 4 show ever) and you've got your ticket prices. Who cares about paying $200 to be on the floor push pitting with drunk old morons and teenage goofballs? I'm sitting in the upper deck drunk as shit bangning my head.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:34 AM

what the hell kind of name is megadeath and anthrax.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:46 AM

yeah man I hear ya, although I can't envision many teenagers being able to afford those GA prices....I'll be there one way or another

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:47 AM

That stadium is going to smell like wet beer farts and miserable lives...

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:51 AM

This basically sounds like the trendies complaing about being around the bros/metalheads/sports fans/New Yawkas (FROM New York).

"The Lesser Of Two Evils". News at 4.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:55 AM

From the looks of that tee shirt, Metalica is the biggest of the big 4....

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:13 AM

When is the last time Antrax played in NYC (not counting that outdoor winter show with whoever that singer was). Queens represent!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:19 AM

I've got all my black denim ready! No blue denim of course, that's for losers!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:19 AM

God I'd love to to go this show but I can't drop 135 for shitty seats at yankee stadium.

Posted by The Real Real Yup. PERIOD | May 6, 2011 11:22 AM

metallica cost = $90-110 alone, so for another $40 you get slayer who are the strongest act on the bill and anthrax, oh yeah and megadeth, that will be a good time to get drinks and take a piss... anyway for NYC not so bad. but ga is a complete rip off...225 plus fees, they can go fuck themselves...

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:22 AM

Lars needs the money to continue fighting Napster, or something...

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:26 AM

11:19: I'd like to know as well. I know they did that Starland Ballroom show back in 2005, but that's in Jersey (and about as far as I know).

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:28 AM

this is hardly newsworthy... not even an austin date

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:43 AM

Pass. After much discussion, I figured, the security is going to be way too intense, especially for the field. It's one thing to have the Jay-Z/Em show there. But a metal show, like this? What will the mosh pit do to the outfield? And the crowds in the stands are going to be insane.

I saw 3 of the 4 back in the 80s. The Puppets Tour, the Peace Sells Tour, and the Among The Living Tour. Even Metallica with Cliff once. Too old and too rich for my blood and cash.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:45 AM

i always wanted to see indians performed live with joey belladonna. oh well, not for that amount of money.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:51 AM

"What will the mosh pit do to the outfield?"

I remember seeing Anthrax at the Felt Forum (oops, I meant the Paramount. Oops again, I meant WAMU presents at the Theater at MSG) and the security would not let anyone mosh/stand in the aisles. Lame.

Or Metallica in the '90s at Nassua Coliseum were the fans rushed the GA floor.

For a metal show, if you are not on the floor in front of the stage, there is no point being there.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:52 AM

There's no excuse, or reasonable rationale for ticket prices this high. Even if it is, gosh/golly/gee, the second ever show in yanker stadium. And you need to take a look in the mirror if you're callin' out hipsters as snobs while dishin' out this much cash for a show.

Posted by Edward | May 6, 2011 12:22 PM

will beavis and butthead be attending?

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 12:22 PM

10:46: It's Megadeth, not Megadeath, retard. If you are going to troll, learn how to read first.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 12:24 PM

"For a metal show, if you are not on the floor in front of the stage, there is no point being there."

I'm 28 years old, I couldn't care less about push pits and sweaty goons

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 12:25 PM

don't you mean learn how to spell?

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 12:26 PM

When indie music was still good, it was easy to make fun of metalheads & shows like this. Now it seems forced. Sure this shit is overpriced & I can barely stand metal but you know this is gonna be way more fun than 90% of the shows covered here.

Posted by streetdude | May 6, 2011 12:38 PM

"When indie music was still good, it was easy to make fun of metalheads & shows like this."

Certainly, not to their faces I presume heeheehee

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 12:53 PM

Will be a great event with those four bands and Yankees Stadium. Can't wait for the show.

Posted by Warren Ball | May 6, 2011 1:26 PM

these prices are right in line with hetfield's beverly hills shopping habits. pass!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 1:56 PM

10:09 nailed it.

adding them up today, it might be the small 1.2

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 2:02 PM

secret password is sausage

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 2:15 PM

12:26 PM : No, I mean read. As in read (and understand) the name of the band and then write it properly in your posting. Not a tough concept. I guess I gave people too much credit. Copyign something letter for letter didn't seem too tough to me.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 2:20 PM

i heard from a pretty solid source that metallica is going to play st. anger in its entirety at this show, and that's it

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 2:30 PM

"I remember seeing Anthrax at the Felt Forum (oops, I meant the Paramount. Oops again, I meant WAMU presents at the Theater at MSG) and the security would not let anyone mosh/stand in the aisles. Lame."

I went to the Megaforce 5th Anniversary show at the Ritz in '88. Anthrax was on the bill, before S.O.D. One of the sickest pits ever was the "wardance" part on "Indians". The ENTIRE floor was the pit.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 3:06 PM

"...S.O.D...."

Now THAT would be an awesome band to see!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 3:32 PM

will tix be available from scalpers for $10 on this one?

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 3:44 PM

Do any of you cheap bastards realize you're getting a set from each band? The show starts at 4.

Posted by Lars' grundle | May 6, 2011 4:16 PM

"will tix be available from scalpers for $10 on this one?"

I could see the faraway seats going for $20.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 4:16 PM

yea... i'm definitely going to wait and see if cheap tickets become available closer to the date.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 4:34 PM

Mariano will close the concert.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 11:08 PM

im just mad because i won the guitar for the last one and it was supposed to be the only one dropping the value of my collector item by about 5 grand. Still for sale if anyone is looking, but the way you all bitch about money i doubt anyone is gonna shell out 3 grand for this gorgeous Les Paul.
