Antlers

... after the Holly Golightly show at the same venue (Friday night).

If you can't make it, tickets are still on sale for The Antlers' May 19th show at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Their May 20th show at Bowery Ballroom is sold out. Both shows are part of their May tour with Little Scream in support of their new album 'Burst Apart', which is currently streaming over at NPR, and which has cover art that looks a lot like the flyer above (Burst Apart is out May 10th on Frenchkiss. above flyer designed by Tonally Dude).

Meanwhile... come drink and then see BOBBY, Alex Bleeker & Prussia at Knitting Factory tonight (5/5).

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 4:37 PM

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 4:42 PM

Thank G-d I've got tickets for Bowery.

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 4:46 PM

OH NO GUYS THERE'S A LINE OUTSIDE THE KNIT RIGHT NOW

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 4:47 PM

Love the Cover !

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 4:51 PM

Fuck yeah! I'm there.

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 4:51 PM

Small capacity at The Knit...better pack some snacks and get in line early!

(and I think you know what kind of snacks I mean!)

Why do people say clusterfuck all the time.

Have you ever SEEN a clusterfuck?

It is nothing like what will happen on Friday. Trust me. And the antlers show will smell a LOT better than an actual clusterfuck

Anyone else disappointed by the new album?

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 5:09 PM

question: if you buy a ticket to the early knit show, can you stay in the main room for the antlers, or will they kick you out + new line?

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 5:22 PM

Cool album cover. Too bad the music doesn't live up to it.

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 5:54 PM

What? The album sounds pretty rad to me. It's not Hospice, but still really good.

Posted by Anonymous | May 5, 2011 6:03 PM

5:22, once upon a time I worked for the Knitting Factory Brooklyn and this is indeed a possibility. Security is relatively chill about back-to-back shows. I would not confine yourself to the main room though, go linger in the bar for a while.

Can't make this :( would've loved to, but Bowery will be amazing.

the new album is pretty boring

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 9:17 AM

you're pretty boring.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 9:49 AM

damn this will be cool but sadly i'm too old to stand in line for hours to see them for free. i'll fork over $20 to see 'em at MHOW. And the new album is amazing, in my humble opinion...

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 10:18 AM

ill probably just get tickets for Holly Golightly

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 12:43 PM

Waited in line for hours to see them at Merc Lounge back when they released Hospice on Frenchkiss. Hoping I'll be able to do so again tonight.

@1:00
How long did you wait for? Just trying to figure out what time I should get there.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 1:09 PM

this is awesome, thanks BV!

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 1:27 PM

let's be honest - the new album is influenced by bad 90s electronica, and anyone who likes that sound in the first place has questionable taste. this band is taking themselves way too seriously.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 2:04 PM

pitchfork is going to give it best new music anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 2:58 PM

Way too seriously? Sorry they are not Das Racist.

All ages? 18+? 21+?

Posted by Anonymous | May 6, 2011 4:03 PM

4:03, the Knit is all ages all the time! ('cept for bar shows, but The Antlers will play the mainstage tonight)

Awesome, y'all are gonna have to deal with a bunch of high school indie kids lining up at 6 ~ !

The Antlers new album is awesome, people who are saying otherwise are just trying to pretend they listen to better music.
