Cro-Mags at Terminal 5 (more by Meghan McInnis)
Cro-Mags

NYC hardcore legends the Cro-Mags will headline a show at Bowery Ballroom on July 1st. Tickets go on AmEx presale Wednesday at noon, and general sale on Friday.

The uber-fit Cro-Mags frontman John Joseph also keeps busy in other ways. This Thursday, May 19th, you can catch him giving a nutrition demo along with a training session with celebrity trainer Clay Burwell at 6:30 at 276 Bowery (Nike Stadium). John also continues to teach people about life on the Lower East Side as a guide for Rocks Off Walking Tours.

In semi-related news, despite rumors to the contrary, tickets will be available at the door for the Black & Blue Bowl at Webster Hall on May 28th. The show features a return of Gorilla Biscuits alongside sets from Sick of It All, Agnostic Front and others.

Would be awesome if they were not playing Bowery.

Fuck Harley. Guy's a fucking mongoloid. Rot in hell, Harley.

The last 4 times I've seen them it was Mackie, John Joseph, Craig Setari, and the guitarist from leeway. If you like them go!

Doesnt Bowery have a barricade? That shit's weak.

Posted by Anonymous | May 17, 2011 11:26 PM

I like the Cro-Mags, but I've always thought John Joseph takes himself too seriously.

"Doesnt Bowery have a barricade? That shit's weak."

Yeah, because you're so OG L.E.S.

JJ, Craig Ahead, Mackie, and AJ Novello. As good, if not better, than the OG lineup.

I wouldn't say it was better than the org. (AOQ)lineup but they are still great..

Seriously, best live band in NYC. Yeah, they are.

Time to retire buddy.

1. Current Cro-Mags lineup sounds amazing.
2. I think Bowery Ballroom is the best venue in NYC. Awesome sound and you can see the bands from any spot.
3. Never been to a show at Bowery that had a barricade. I did see footage of NIN playing there on Youtube, and they DID have a barricade up. I guess it's just up to the band.

Hummus and sriracha hot sauce helps build strong muscles.

To me, a barricade at Bowery would feel so out of place.

Posted by Anonymous | May 18, 2011 11:48 AM

I don't think a barricade should be at ANY show.

Speaking of which, the Black and Blue Bowl is 10 days away!

Posted by Anonymous | May 18, 2011 3:08 PM

"Speaking of which, the Black and Blue Bowl is 10 days away!"

How in the hell can you get tickets for this before showing up to the venue that day? I've had no luck so far.

I love it.
