Friendly Fires @ Webster Hall - 5/25/2011 (photos via tessd)
Friendly Fires

Less than 24 hours after playing Webster Hall (and DJing the afterparty), and with an August 7th Summerstage show on the horizon (which happens right after they play Lollapalooza), Friendly Fires have already announced yet another NYC show. The UK band will headline Terminal 5 on October 26th, 2011. Tickets for the new date go on sale Friday, June 3rd, at noon.

If there's a North American tour that accompanies the T5 show, it isn't announced yet.... well not officially announced yet anyway. Meanwhile, US dates are happening on their current tour with Wise Blood. All dates are listed (other countries included), with a video of Ed dancing in the crowd at Webster Hall (and other videos), below...

Best show I've seen since Arcade Fire at MSG. Such great energy and Ed can dance better than most performers I've seen. Wise Blood was a little ridiculous, but Friendly Fires killed it.

Doc,
Man i have got so much respect for you now. You got some balls on you. To make a statement like that, however ridiculous, knowing you are going to get hammered.
I mean sure you are a loser with horrible taste in music and not a clue in the world.
But fuck all the haters right. Go on with your idiotic self.

hater gonna hate unless haters love to hate and then haters gonna love to hate

@11:50 clearly you're the man because you post anonymously. you're obviously a little bitch

Posted by FUCK 1150 | May 27, 2011 12:23 AM

Dancing clip above was very funny. I don't think it was funny on purpose though.

"@11:50 clearly you're the man because you post anonymously. you're obviously a little bitch

Posted by FUCK 1150"

Well clearly calling yourself "fuck 11:50" is really sticking it to all those anon posters. Truly standing out and being a man and backing up your comment with your real info.

I guess the appropriate response to you would be Go fuck your mother, moron

They are playing a free show in the summer i'll just wait 4 that!

Posted by Anonymous | May 27, 2011 1:42 AM

11:50, I'm sorry your parents did such a horrible job bringing you up that you insult people for having a good time. I'm not in any way a FF fan but yes, indeed - fuck the haters. Meaning fuck people like you.

Sometimes these comments go beyond dickness and are just outwardly mean. Its pathetic that you feel like you have to hide behind a computer screen and say stuff like that to people who enjoyed something you do not. Just shut the fuck up if all you're going to bring to the conversation is bullshit like that.

Posted by Anonymous | May 27, 2011 6:23 AM

right. no NYC photos because we covered that with Austin photos.

Posted by Anonymous | May 27, 2011 8:20 AM

I will wait for this start in this summer. If it is free.

Man, bands really over-saturate the market. Look at those tour dates. They're playing the SAME places (and, oftentimes the same venues) they are playing on this current tour. Guess there is only so much growth in the "indie" realm

Posted by Anonymous | May 27, 2011 10:10 AM

^^^ In the age of the download, touring is how the bands make their money. Pay up!

This is nice article. I really enjoyed reading it.
