Justin Vernon

As promised, after a rare musical guest interview, Justin Vernon played a medley and cover (of covers?) on Late Nite With Jimmy Fallon last night. Accompanied by his best friend Phil Cook of Megafaun on piano, Justin didn't sing any news Bon Iver songs. He sang Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me," mixed with some "Nick of Time" and along with an intro of Donny Hathaway song "A Song For You" (which was written by Leon Russell). Check out both videos below...

man - hearing his voice undoubled and sans reverb/slapback/etc makes me wish there were more vox on his new record like that.

Wow. He's usually pretty decent, but this is horrible. Painful!!!

It doesn't matter how many BV posts Fallon is in, he will still always be a tool.

felt that performance left a little to be desired.

Seriously??? I mean, seriously? Is this some kind of joke. I managed to make it through the first off-key verse before mercifully hitting stop.
Instead of a tooth enamel commercial to begin this clip, it should have been an ad for root canal. Painful, indeed.

"It doesn't matter how many BV posts Fallon is in, he will still always be a tool."

And will always be lame and never funny. But hey, you shouldn't be surprised. BV and Jimmy-Boy go hand in hand!
