The Rapture
Rapture

"Almost 10 years after the release of House Of Jealous Lovers, The Rapture will be coming back home to DFA. Their new album The Grace Of Your Love drops on September 6 in the US, September 5 in Europe. We'll be sure to keep you posted." - DfA Records
In other DFA news, YACHT and Midnight Magic and The Miracles Club will play the DFA Northside Festival showcase at Music Hall of Williamsburg on June 19. Tickets are on sale now for the gig that is much smaller than YACHT's last headlining NYC show.

As mentioned, Midnight Magic also open for Cut Copy at Prospect Park on August 11. Tickets are still on sale for that too.

Like the recently-announced Seapony and Thee Oh Sees shows, you can also try and get in to YACHT with a Nothside Festival badge. All of these shows are part of the latest round of Northside Festival lineup additions. The full list of bands is below...

i saw the rapture play in boston in 2006. the singer was a complete mess and at one point, he hit his mic stand which fell on some girl in the front row. she was visibly hurt. he laughed. their show wasn't that great anyway.

all was not lost though. the presets were the openers.

I liked House of Jealous Lovers but I don't think it would make me want to come out and see them.

This band kills live and puts on a a great show.

Plus their second album "Pieces of the People We Love" is fantastic.

Lastly, its a bummer they lost one of their core members and not sure if they're really the same band anymore.

The other day, I was at this house party and the hummus platter was finished early in the night, and when people arrived late and saw all the hummus was gone, it was fair to say that many people were in a "house of jealous hummus eaters"

Posted by Anonymous | May 24, 2011 2:29 PM

The Rapture are the new hummus.

Posted by Anonymous | May 24, 2011 2:47 PM

My bald spot is too large for me to attend this show.
