The Thermals

One night before the Strawberry Fest, NYU hosted a Cinco de Mayo concert with Tyvek, Twin Shadow and The Thermals at Le Poisson Rouge. For the Thermals it was a few days after they played Maxwell's. For Twin Shadow it was a day before they opened for The Pains of Being Pure at Heart at Webster Hall and the same night they appeared on Fallon. We missed Tyvek (it was an early show), but more pictures of the other two bands at the NYU show, and the Thermals setlist, below...

Actually Twin Shadow was/is incredible. They sounded a lot more dynamic than the Thermals, who are great at what they do, but lets face it, they don't do a whole lot. Maybe you should take a minute or two to listen to their music before judging them based on their appearance.

The Thermals music has evolved over time-I don't see Twin Shadow doing that since their entire set sounded the same. No need to judge based on appearance (not that their 80s revival helped them).

Twin Shadow > Thermals

understandable that you think they look sort of like "douchebags" though

In the olden days, the days of yore, ye olden golden days, you could dress like Twin Shadow but you had to write and perform like Prince. Nowadays, in the modern era, "today," function follows form nine times out of ten. Our ironic, soulless forays into pageantry will not be smiled upon by our confused albeit healthy children.

I am hoping that you will be elaborating more on this theme. I was hoping for a tad more information.
