DOWNLOAD: Ancient VVisdom - "Alter Reality" (MP3)

Ancient VVisdom contains ex-members of Iron Age and Integrity, and it's hard not to hear some of that lineage, but Ancient VVisdom string together apocalyptic and gothic folk passages with some clean vocals; think of Integrity's moments of acoustic darkness instead of the hardcharging hardcore assault. Even though his fingers aren't on this record, fans of Dwid Hellion can't pass this up. Who said you need a distortion pedal and a Hi-Watt to sound evil?
Now that their split with Charles Manson (no shit) is behind them, Ancient VVisdom is currently preparing their latest LP for Shinebox Recordings, A Godlike Inferno. Featuring Alex Hughes (Hatred Surge) and Wade Allison (Iron Age), the new LP features eight tracks, one of which, "Alter Reality", makes its appearance for the first time here. Download it above.
Check out some recent Ancient VVisdom video below, and look for the record on Shinebox on June 7th.

Fan of Integrity and Iron Age but this is god awful. Its like a darker less melodic Creed, or a high school band heavily influenced by Alice in Chains

To all the haters, maybe you should make your own music before you slam AVV. This record is a masterpiece in dark music.

I agree with the poster above, sounds like Danzig playing the Manson Family jams, perfect smoking music.

name another band playing acoustic jams with such a dark lyrical content? AVV is doing something different, and they are doing it well. in this age that is not easy. HAILS.

Great band. Awesome darkness folk feel to their music. Makes me want to destroy the people that post Creed comments which the world doesnt need and bury them in the deep in the woods. we need more bands like this and less people like Brian from VA in this world. And their split with Manson was incredible, so fuck off.
