BAM presents the 17th annual R&B Festival at MetroTech. The festival is a free outdoor concert series featuring shows every Thursday from noon-2 PM, June 2 through August 4 at MetroTech Commons in Brooklyn. Awesome if you work right there. The fest kicks off this Thursday (6/2) with George Clinton & Parliament/Funkadelic. Full lineup below.

I went to a show at Metrotech last year and the only people in attendance were special needs groups and old people.
And before someone decides to be clever, I am a special needs individual.

Being that I generally go out til 4am everynight, am I supposed to set my alarm so I can wake up on time to make it to a 12 noon concert? What rubbish!

I've seen some great performances there.If you work nearby or can get to a 12-2pm show,it's a good deal.Sure, there are some disabled and special needs folks there, but isn't good that the city provides events that they can enjoy.
