The worst part about this is if he dies, then his last work will have been on the new l a d y g a g a album.

Hope he recovers. Anyone notice he has been playing the same exact sax solo for about 40 years. Every song, it's the same solo. Anyway, get well, Mr. Clemons.

GET WELL BIG MAN!

He played the National Anthem at a game I attended last year. It was possibly the best rendition of the National Anthem I had ever heard.

Anyone notice 9:48 is a fucking ball-less tool?

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:01 AM

@9:17: We can always ignore that and remember his indelible work with Jackson Browne:

Get well big guy!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:07 AM

Anyone notice 10:01 is calling out no one in particular?

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:10 AM

Yes, I and probably more than one other person has.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:19 AM

speedy recovery, big man.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:20 AM

Anyone notice that we're all making more than $70k salaries and swimming in money so we can buy AnCo Wiliamsburg Waterfront tickets through third party sites at 200% markup and not feel bad about it while we indulge with our Park Slope brunchcore friends on Sundays sometime between 11am and 1pm?

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:22 AM

I have not noticed.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:23 AM

Anyone posting BS comments or getting invloved in worthelss arguements on this thread should look in th mirror and realize just what a f--king POS you really are.

punishment for appearing on the gaga record? be well, big man

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:35 AM

Anyone here smart enough to notice that 9:48's comment must have been so inappropriate that it got removed?

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:40 AM

Instead of bashing him for working with lady gaga, and in turn bashing her too be proud of the fact that an artist like Gaga worked with such a legend, be proud of the fact that someone who is popular in music now has the knowledge and decency to pay tribute to one of the greatest musicians of all time by having him appear on her album. Also Clarence is no idiot, if he did not see talent with Gaga he would not have worked with her. You are all ignorant and won't give credit where it is due.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:51 AM

I agree with the comment above (10:51 AM). Stop bashing him for working with Gaga. With her somewhat eclectic taste, we can assume that his collaboration was no coincidence.

Get well soon, Big Man!

Posted by Pris | June 13, 2011 10:56 AM

I wouldn't bash him for working with Gaga, but I would bash him for working with Bruce 'The Travesty' Springsteen.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 10:59 AM

We can only hope that Clarence makes a complete recovery beats the pants off of all the vile, ignorant a-holes on this thread. Get well soon!!

@10:22 - um, 70K salaries and swimming in money? in this city. NO, not so much...

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 11:07 AM

11:07 is clearly out of the loop. $70k is the salary of Kings and Hummus Barons.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 11:09 AM

Colin P Fitz only wishes he could make %70K. Or good hummus.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 11:13 AM

I think that Clarence is making more than $70k in interest off the money he has in the bank.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 11:22 AM

THE GUY IS A FREAKING LEGEND, NUFF SAID, ALL OF YOU PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS FOR TRASHING HIM

Posted by THE TRUTH IN ALL CAPS | June 13, 2011 11:27 AM

you can't say anything bad about lady gaga on the internet these days otherwise her lame fans will find it out and come to its defense. i say this because not once has anyone ever said anything good about lady gaga on BV until today.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 11:39 AM

9:17, you're facts are wrong. Clarence will be appearing on the forthcoming Justin beiber album followed by true musical legend, Selena Gomez and the scene. He knows true talent where he sees it!

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 11:47 AM

Clarence Clemons is playing with the Strokes? Can't get no Gratisfaction...

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 11:59 AM

10:59, very compelling argument. Well stated. Good luck with your new brain!

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 12:02 PM

His condition is said to be improving as per backstreets.com if any of you care!

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 12:32 PM

I can think of a couple of people right now that I'd rather have afflicted by a stroke than Mr. Clemons. Geez....

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 12:37 PM

I'm gonna sit back right easy and laugh

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 12:42 PM

This is really sad for me, given that Clarence has remembered my birthday for all these years, and even had me over for dinner a few times last year. If he was just a musician from some geezer's records, I'd be embarrassed to feel such sadness, especially when there are people in my own community that are suffering and I do nothing to help them.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 12:45 PM

12:45pm, don't lie. You are a nobody who has never met Clarence. If anything, your brain is currently warped by drugs and imagining up these stories. Go get some help.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 1:14 PM

I hope the Big Man recovers well, and is out playing again soon. Seeing Bruce without Clarence just wouldn't be the same...

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 1:43 PM

1:14 = cannot tolerate irony

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2011 1:44 PM

12:37: I think more comments continuing in this manner further reinforces your belief to be the sound one.
