Electric Zoo

Giant and very-varied Labor Day Weekend electro festival Electric Zoo returns to Randall's Island on September 2-4 and just announced 14 more artists to its already big lineup which is split across four stages (times three days).

The fest this year features performances by big names like Moby (DJ set), Rusko, MSTRKRFT, Richie Hawtin as Plastikman, Chromeo, Boys Noize, Calvin Harris and Diplo. The lineup also includes smaller but familiar and exciting names like Daedelus, SebastiAn (Live), SBTRKT, Nicolas Jaar (Live), and many more. The whole thing is listed below.

SBTRKT meanwhile has dates coming up in July.

SebastiAn, who has had singles floating around for a few years now, and more recently a film score, finally released his first proper full length Total on May 30 via Ed Banger. The album is 22 songs of Daft Punk-esque aggressive French House and features vocal contributions from Mayer Hawthorne and M.I.A.. Check out a soundcloud stream of the M.I.A.-featured "C.T.F.O." (which stands for chill the fuck out) and the full tracklist also below.

More tour dates for Diplo, Chromeo and Rusko, along with the EZ lineup, and stuff, below...

Yes! The ultimate event to test out my new roofies-infused hummus blend on wasted 15 year olds in giant sunglasses.

They'd have to add a million Jaars, SBTRKTs, and Egyptrixxes to save this fest from being overrun by b&t meatheads on loads of pills, as the noise from all the trance and big room whatever tents bleeds across the entire island. Pass.

Richie Hawtin as Plastikman...but oof...will it even be bearable?

Posted by Anonymous | June 23, 2011 4:38 PM

Tiesto & Guetta clearly added just to appease the Jersey Shore/Staten Island crowd.

WHERE the FUCK is Jamie XX?

Posted by Anonymous | June 23, 2011 6:05 PM

I think he is out eating Hummus with James Murphy and Frohawk.

What time does Daft Punk come on?

Posted by Anonymous | June 23, 2011 6:11 PM

Last year was amazing and the meathead ratio was actually pretty low. This year's lineup is even better. I'm kinda glad I don't even know 1/2 the names. The best thing about festivals is discovering new music. Thank you Electric Zoo!!

Whoo hoo Electric Zoo! So there for Diplo, Calvin Harris, Crookers, Busy P, SebastiAn, Moby and my new hero Beardyman. His Conan appearance was brill!

Hot girls in short shorts... Hell yeah party animals!

You haters need to C.T.F.O. Just be thankful we have a music festival of this caliber here in NYC. Finally!!

Posted by Daisy | June 23, 2011 6:28 PM

What the fuck does C.T.F.O mean? It is a good music act, but think about all the losers in attendance. The line- up was made to sell tickets. Think about the loser convention at the Bloody beetroots stage and super mashbros? I'm not going to be thankful for a music festival over-ridden with Jersey Shore fist-pumpers.

That M.I.A. track is terrible. She should be left in Israel under the old-packages of Sabra hummus were no one wants to hear from her again. If she tries to speak then a noise will sound.... She needs to go away. Go away M.I.A

Hells yeah! I'm getting ready to double dip my Newport 100 into a bottle of Crazy Eddie!

cant wait for the pics!

PUMP IT UP. Still wish I can be at Electric Daisy Carnival right now though :(

Why cant people who dont like these festivals realize that many people dont listen to music their whole lives? That lots of kids, who are still learning about this music, come to these and get exposed to tons of new stuff? That people just want to have a good time?

Why why why do people have to hate? JUST LET THE PEOPLE HAVE FUN!!!

I still don't understand why they chose C.T.F.O as a sample of SebastiAn's new album when there are so many excellent tracks such as Embody, Dogg, Kindercut, Total, just to name a few...
Otherwise amazing lineups with new faces even though we're still missing guys like gartner or a-trak..

Snoopadelic AKA snoop dogg has NO business with his rap at a ELECTRIC MUSIC event. They should add spacegirl though an GMS.

Posted by electrofried | June 27, 2011 2:50 PM

Has snoopdog ever made a good song or album? I don't understand why he was ever relevant. Can someone explain this to me? Is it for the hoi polloi?

Can you email me with some pointers on how you made your site look this awesome, I would appreciate it.
