They're hitting Boston before NYC, so they can show up at T5 as happy newlyweds! Mazel Tov!

Vince Clarke isn't gay. None of the East coast shows should be too difficult for him, seeing as he lives with his wife and kids in Maine.

1:33pm, please never attempt comedy again.

I picture a gaggle of older, mommy-looking women with big hair going to this show.

Posted by Anonymous | June 20, 2011 2:23 PM

Well 2:23, you've got the wrong fucking picture.

Vince looks OLD.

vince remains one of the finest at melodic synthpop. he actually writes songs.

"vince remains one of the finest at melodic synthpop. he actually writes songs."

There was a time when someone would receive a solemn beatdown followed by an ass rape for ascribing any redeemable virtue to synthpop. The world these days is fucked up, man.

It's not about changing times. That was the shortsightedness of your buddies who didn't know shit about music, but thought otherwise.

Their music is just too happy for me. It's a step away from showtunes. Not my bag. I like angry music.
But Vince is a talented musician.

2:53 - My picture is based on the girls I knew in high school that liked Erasure. Sadly, most of them have moved out to NJ or LI, gained a few pounds, popped out a few kids, and never knew that high hair went out of style. Their big night out will be this show.

Relax, dude. You sound like you need tranquilizers.

3:56 PM - not trying to get into an argument here but I'd reassess the "happy" quality of the songs. A lot of their material - "A Little Respect", "Chorus", "Who Needs Love Like That", "Chains Of Love" has a pretty bleak outlook. I mean, "Chorus" is about the end of the world and shit. I totally get it if you don't like Erasure - I personally love them - but they're not a happy band by any stretch of the imagination.

could anyone share the password please?

I'm not 3:56, but that's an interesting point there, 5:47. Maybe I'll look into that moreso.

try the first word of the new album?

Posted by Anonymous | June 21, 2011 10:09 AM

Vince still rolling out the songs. I heard he still composes and records with the equipment he used from when he was in the Mode.

Does anyone have a pre-sale code?

Posted by Rose | June 21, 2011 3:25 PM

I just love Erasure and planned on seeing 2 nights of the show. $50 though. Really?! Maybe their costumes have become way more expensive. Theyve always put on a great show, but theyve sure become expensive. Im quite sure the Psych Furs are only $35 at Irving Plaza.
