Rain

Beirut, Sharon Van Etten, and Yellow Ostrich play a sold out (except to badges) Northside Festival show in McCarren Park tonight. The Books, Junip, and Doveman play a free show in Prospect Park. Both shows are rain or shine, though lightning could change that. Hopefully it doesn't rain too hard, or at all. 50% is still only 50%!

Best Coast and The Decemberists played Prospect Park in the rain earlier in the week, and that wasn't too bad.

I hope it doesn't rain!

crossing my fingers....

at least @ Prospect Park, they don't take away your umbrellas. @ Williamsburg Waterfront, you can't even take it in even if its in your bag!

Livenation = crap as always.

Hey genius know it all 12:42, the Waterfront shows are put on by AEG. Not by Livenation.
But i guess we already know you are a loser idiot by the fact that you went to see Coheed and Cambria

Was a 50% chance for the Hal Willner production at Prospect last night too and it was a beautiful night. So let's hope for the best.

I will be selling ponchos for $7 - still cheaper than Yankee Stadium!

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 12:57 PM

This show isn't at the waterfront.

damn, Celebrate Brooklyn having no luck this week. Was at that Decemberists show, and yes, it wasn't THAT bad. Would like to check out especially Junip, but not sure I like 'em enough to sit in pouring rain again! :)

Seems like the rain would make a good accompaniment to Beirut and Sharon Van Etten's music.

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 1:27 PM

will the show (beirut) be cancelled if it keeps on raining???

Blind Melon.

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 1:44 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 1:48 PM

would I be able to bring a camera....canon rebel...to mccarren park tonight?

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 2:07 PM

@1:19 - i was there Tuesday too and after getting use to being soaked, it turned into a great night - i've seen Junip twice in the past six months at paid events - give it a shot tonight - unless its tropical gusty winds, i'm there

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 2:20 PM

Eff Northside. Go see the Slackers tonight at Bowery Ballroom.

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 2:20 PM

do you feel like we do?

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 2:23 PM

@2:20- thanks for the tip on Junip, I think I will check 'em out unless it's awful. Agree, once you got totally soaked, and gave up worrying about it, Tues night was great!

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 2:34 PM

Forgot about Frampton. Now I'll go.

Hope there's still tickets.

1:43/12:42,
You are kidding right, loser? That is your attempt at a comeback? Who cares that AEG and Livenation are both corpuorate entities. I can name a million others. So? You tried to slag Livenation for shit they had nothing to do with cause you thought you were so smart when in fact you are an idiot.
Then you tried to defend crappy Coheed. Laughable at best.

Seriously time to wake up and realize you are a worthless piece of shit.

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 5:39 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 6:05 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 6:53 PM

Ur all fckin lame. Pull urselves together.

Posted by Anonymous | June 17, 2011 9:17 PM

I like toolbag. As in, the loudmouthed imbecile congressman sent chicks a picture of his toolbag, and then he bored a hole in a tree with his enormous beak.

A good insight and ideas.. I will use it in my article. You’ve obviously spent a lot of time on this. Congratulations!
