Khann at Lit Lounge (more by Samantha Marble)

Dipping their toes into mathy post-hardcore, screamo and metal, Khann have crafted their follow-up to 2007's Tofutopia with their latest release, Erode for Black Market Activities/Good Fight. Check out two new songs below from Erode, "The Gate" and "Implosion", the latter of which makes its debut in this post. The LP is currently up for sale in vinyl/digital/CD incarnations and the new record arrives in stores the same day as their labelmates Engineer's new LP, Crooked Voices.
So far Khann have no live dates to back-up the heaviness of Erode, but when they do hit the pavement, their spastic live show is definitely fun. Though I missed their last NYC appearance at Acheron, their prior show at Lit Lounge with then-tourmates Tiger Flowers was fantastic. Catch 'em on the road when you can, and we'll keep an eye out for tour dates.
Khann contains Andrew LaCour, brother of Trap Them bassist Steve LaCour who we caught at Mohawk during Chaos in Tejas while on tour with Converge.

Khann really sounds like Dillinger Escape Plan who were admittedly influenced by Today is the Day.
