Northside schedule announced (BrooklynVegan not on it)

Northside Fest

After countless Northside Festival announcements, the full schedule has been announced. The festival takes place from June 16-19 spanning many North Brooklyn music venues. Check out the music and arts schedule and the film schedule. The ideas schedule is coming soon.

Northside badges are still on sale and will get you into many events (capacity permitting) including the sold out Beirut/Sharon Van Etten show. Individual tickets are still on sale for a lot of the other stuff though including Guided By Voices show with Wavves, Surfer Blood, and The Babies in McCarren Park on June 18.

If you can't make it out to the GBV show, it will be streaming live on Sirius XMU (home of BrooklynVegan Blog Radio).

Speaking of BrooklynVegan, I'm sorry to report that we will actually not be doing a Northside Festival show this year. We wanted to, and had fun with it in the past (last year I think we did three), but collectively just couldn't get it together this year. Sorry about that. There's always next year!

it is lame BV...all that SXSW stuff and you can't get it together for a local festival. selling, selling...gone! i guess the banner ads are moving well so who cares.

my issue is when are the badges being given out ? they say on their website "a few weeks before " we're almost at less than a week . is it weird? or is it just me ?
