Oneida released the final part of the tryptych, performing all three parts @ 3 Brooklyn shows (starting tonight)

THIS WEEKEND 36 HOURS OF ONEIDA WITH MANY GUESTS FROM YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL BANDS,
Tonight (6/17) kicks off a weekend of music from Oneida. The band will unload three days of jams upon Secret Project Robot in celebration of their new LP Absolute II. The new LP is the third part in the band's Thank Your Parents triptych, which the band will be performing in full over the course of the three days. They describe the triptych as "an aesthetic object, a historical meditation, and a narrative experience". it is currently available at their bandcamp, most of it for free. The new album was officially released by Jagjaguar on June 7th. Grab an MP3 above. Stream all three parts below.

The three-show schedule looks like this:

FRIDAY JUNE 17:
*Oneida performs Preteen Weaponry and Rated O in their entirety! *Midnight munchies by Kyle Hepp... 9pm / $10

SATURDAY JUNE 18
*Oneida presents the OCROPOLIS: ~10 hours of improvising, special guests peppering that double throughout the day! *Oneida & Friends DJ Set - a dance party follows into the wee hours...2pm / $10 / $food tbd

SUNDAY JUNE 19
*Oneida performs ABSOLUTE II at dawn! *Pancake breakfast to follow, ~Doors 4:45am / FREE

Note the door times of the Sunday show. Note also: Oneida will be joined by members of Black Dice, Knyfe Hyts, Notekillers, and Soldiers of Fortune during the journey.

Oneida will also bless ATP in NJ with an Ocropolis session in October. People of the North (aka Kid Millions and Bobby Matador of Oneida) also play ATP. All tour dates and those streams are below.

I think if you took a survey of local bands who've been around for more than 5 minutes, the result for "best drummer" would be Kid Millions. The guy is a machine.
