"I've never lost anyone that I care about, and it's my best friend" - Bam Margera

Bam Margera

Police have determined that Ryan Dunn was driving at speeds of 130MPH at the time of the crash, though it is still not known whether alcohol consumption was a factor. Hopefully not. The brutal, heart-wrenching video of BAM at the crash scene is below.

i know people will be all like "well, he was driving drunk so he deserved it" etc. etc. but i just feel really bad for his friends and family. even though i think bam margera is a douche, this video made me feel really bad. r.i.p. ryan dunn.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:28 PM

didn't he lose his MOM in that crash too?

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:28 PM

130 mph Porsche fireball....now THAT'S the way to go out!

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:33 PM

inb4 pretentious hipsters complaining that this is on this site

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:34 PM

I gave the first Jackass 3 stars...

Posted by Roger Ebert | June 22, 2011 1:34 PM

yeah, i feel bad for all as well. however, driving 130mph, and if alcohol was involved ... that's disgusting. that combination could have caused far more deaths. all the kids eating billyburgers and getting loaded before driving home, pay attention to what happens.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:34 PM

if he was driving 130 MPH, there is NO way that alcohol was NOT involved, esp since he tweeted pix of himself drinking with friends just a few hours earlier!

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:40 PM

130 mph?!?!?! Lucky more damage wasn't done. A car is a 4,000 pound weapon.

And why do we want to see all of these reactions from Bam? It sucks that he lost his friend, but when people act irresponsible, what do you expect? Maybe this can be a positive wakeup call for the generation that was destroyed by MTV.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:44 PM

Dying because of irresponsibility doesn't make it any less tragic for the people who are experiencing the loss. It's not like they'll say "Yeah, my best bud is dead.... but it was the result of stupidity but OK WELL".

Clearly nobody here has experienced loss. You thing emotion is so mechanical.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:46 PM

Thanks ! I love watching people suffer!! \m/

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:46 PM

It's an awful tragedy, and from a psychology standpoint, it's also interesting that it's often the bros who treat life and people like garbage who are beyond devastated when something real like an unexpected death happens in their life. Wonder how Bam will hold up. Either he becomes a better person or he spirals downward. God bless.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:47 PM

What is really pathetic in the video is the fact that there is people picking through all of the crash site debris and stating they are going to put it up on ebay...

Just like the losers that put WTC debris on ebay after 9/11..Pathetic forms of humanity

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:48 PM

Whatever your opinion is of Dunn, Margera or their crew, someone young died and now his family and friends have to deal with this pointless, avoidable, tragic loss for the rest of their lives.

Before you post an insensitive or repugnant comment, just think what you'd feel like if this happened to your best friend or close family member.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:49 PM

Crazy how insensitive people are bring about this. Two comments:

1. Heath Ledger killed himself w/ drugs, but no one was spouting shit about how he "deserved it cuz it was his fault".

Obvious difference is that drunk driving endangers others, which brings me to point #2:

2. God damn, ALL of us do stupid shit, including drinking and driving and sometimes flooring your car for a few miles for fun. Despite all of our innate recklessness, everyone deserves some respect in an accidental death, not a bunch of "he deserved it" bullshit.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 1:58 PM

1:49pm, I'm not saying Bam or Dunn should be criticized but someone's death doesn't automatically erase the bad way spent their time in this world. When I was in highschool, there was a classmate who absolutely hated my girlfriend. My girlfriend was friendly, pretty and fairly popular. The other classmate was also pretty, popular in the Mean Girls sense was but reckless, heartless and did her best to make my girlfriend's life a living hell. On the same day she stole my girlfriend's purse, taped pictures all over the school with her face superimposed onto the body of a porn star, attempted to attack her physically after school and bullied her to the point where she had to go see a therapist, the girl went out for a night of partying, drove her car right into a tree and died. Did I feel sorry for her friends and family? Sure. Did it stop me from pissing on her grave a few days after they buried her?

Does it feel better to be morally superior or flippantly callous on the internet. Discuss.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:04 PM

seriously, it's really sad that someone loses their life at such a young age. But, seriously, 130 mph?! You have any idea how many innocent people on the road you're putting at risk with that kind of careless behaviour?

And, to the whitetrash seen in that video collecting what's left of the car; you deserve to be punched in the face. hard.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:08 PM

For the record, I bet AT LEAST 75% of us have driven our cars over 100mph at least once. I know I have.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:16 PM

I don't think anyone on here said he deserved to die. So everyone can stop being so sanctimonious.

What's a shame is that its not too surprising. When the crocodile hunter died it was sad and emotional for his family and fans, but it was also unsurprising. You do dangerous stuff long enough and someone is gonna get hurt. Or its all fun and games till someone loses an eye...etc.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:22 PM

75%? That's a bit much. I think the most I ever clocked was 80.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:23 PM

^Then you're one of the 25%!
Most you've ever done is 80? Really??

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:30 PM

I've only had old piece of crap lemons. If I ever went above 80mph my car would start shaking violently. So no, I never went over 100mph because my car couldn't handle it and more importantly because I'm not a reckless, testosterone oozing bozo trying to impress friends/chicks.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:33 PM

you know what a real tragedy would be? if some drunken frat boy douchebag was driving under the influence hit and killed someone YOU cared about. that would be tragic. and you wouldnt give a shit what crappy tv show the guy was on.

you know, it might be fun to hit each other in the crotch with sledgehammers when youre fourteen, but now its just sad. half the cast is in their thirties and have children of thier own. let this be a wake-up call and just grow up already.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:35 PM

RIP grew up with cky and all that. any one taking stuff has no idea the bad luck you get from taking stuff from a crash where people die my buddy's dad has an auto body shop and ive herd weird stories about things(cars motor cycles) ppl die in.

Posted by John | June 22, 2011 2:36 PM

chill out.. we're all gunna die.. This guy was a daredevil and went out totally fitting- if not awful.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:39 PM

It was pretty unnecessary to see that footage of Bam. That should have been a private time for remembering and reflection. I've lost friends in equally absurd accidents, and this is not helping anyone, especially Bam.

I drink a lot, but I dont have a car anymore. I can say easily that its a good thing I don't. Judgment is impaired severely even after a few drinks, even though you may not admit it, especially when hanging out with other drunk dudes.

If this is the first person Bam has lost, then I truly am sorry for him and hope he gets through it. However, one needs to realize life is not always easy. These things happen and trying to find a reason is futile. The first time is always the worst and eventually, though its never easy, you learn about the duality of life. The more you love someone the harder it is to say goodbye.

Posted by Anon | June 22, 2011 2:39 PM

regularly over 100 here - the rest of you need to live a little.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:40 PM

BBG is a Meh tal hipster that started listening and Djing hip-hop music 5 years ago, around the time Sunn O)))'s White 2 wasn't cool to listen to anymore.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:40 PM

2:40, if living a little means dying a lot then count me out!

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:45 PM

"you know, it might be fun to hit each other in the crotch with sledgehammers when youre fourteen, but now its just sad. "

.... well, they did do it for a set of movies that made them hundreds of millions of dollars. Wasn't like it was completely pointless.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:47 PM

@2:40...Some of us don't have penis envy. Driving over 100 is not a point of pride. Its a sign of stupidity. Brag on, junior.

Posted by Anon | June 22, 2011 2:48 PM

2.45 - everyone dies the same amount. but some people live more.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 2:51 PM

A toxicology report says they found hummus levels in Dunn's system to be far beyond the legalized limit.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 3:06 PM

2:51, Given the option of dying in a car wreck in my early 30s or living until I'm in my 80s, sleeping with countless beautiful women, enjoying life, traveling, going to shows and having much as living responsibly allows, I would consider the latter as living more.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 3:15 PM

"countless beautiful women" - yeah, you and me both, brother.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 3:23 PM

2:47, how are those hundreds of millions helping Ryan Dunn now? Yep, pointless

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 3:26 PM

Well, then, 3.15, you should make your decisions accordingly and hope it works out for you. But that's no guarantee. Just saying. Could have been you in that car, driving 35 mph, dead, and Ryan Dunn might have lived to be an 80 year old driving 100+. It's really that easy. Life's a bitch like that. In my opinion, living life by the averages is a shit way to live.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 3:29 PM

Ryan Dunn didn't though. He's dead. Died while driving his car 130 MPH. Didn't you read this post? There's no might have. He's dead.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 3:32 PM

3:29pm, you may not be living life by the averages, but your penis sure is.

Posted by 3:29's girlfriend who isn't satisfied | June 22, 2011 3:34 PM

right.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 3:36 PM

Bottom Line. He drove drunk, he killed someone and could have injured others. Fuck Him to Hell!
All those millions are doing him a hell of a lot of good now.
Pretty ballsy as well that his buddies who make a habit of being insensitive and obnoxious to others around them are now calling for sensitivity.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 3:49 PM

they better have footage of this in the next jackass movie

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 3:50 PM

I don't blame him for going 130, if I had his car I would get the best radar detector and cruise 100+ all the time.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 4:04 PM

I never thought I'd say this but I actually feel for Bam Margera. I can't imagine what he's going through. :(

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 4:22 PM

Heath Ledger is so different he died of a prescription drug overdose. Because his Dr failed to tell him not to mix his meds. He was not abusing them to get high.

This man Drove drunk and killed not only himself but his buddy as well you can not compare the too.

Posted by Eric | June 22, 2011 4:25 PM

that "journalist" is as big a vulture as the scavengers

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 4:37 PM

First: Kinda seems like bad acting.

Second: I thought a daredevil/stuntman would have thicker skin.

Third: First time you've ever lost some one? 'Bout time real life took hold.

Posted by Anon | June 22, 2011 4:45 PM

If only he did 129 (sigh)

Seriously though...losing a best friend sucks.

I guess there will be a jackass 4 now?(serious toned pranks)

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 4:55 PM

Clearly, if you drink and drive, this might be the outcome.I feel for his loss, but perhaps if you really take a look at what he was doing... Driving at those speeds while intoxicated...Seems he did not have enough going for him.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 7:39 PM

Wow, someone here is actually comparing these dimwits to 9/11.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 7:42 PM

Highest speed: somewhere abouts 150 mph...everyone says no I wouldn't go that fast, but lets get real, if your car can do it, you're gonna try it out at least a time or two.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 9:06 PM

@9:05 at least do it sober lol

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 9:58 PM

this is sad. all there is to it.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 10:35 PM

the interview of bam margera is so hard to watch. jesus.

Posted by Anonymous | June 22, 2011 10:42 PM

3:06 i think that is the funniest hummus joke i've seen on here, worked perfectly in the midst of all these self important internet POASTERZ

Posted by Anonymous | June 23, 2011 12:39 AM

Posted by karen | June 23, 2011 8:47 AM

Have some class people. How could anyone watch this and feel nothing but sadness for his friends in family? May he rest in peace.

Posted by Ashley | June 23, 2011 9:32 AM

9:06 - yeah, if you have a two inch dick and thats the only way you can impress people. bro.

Posted by Anonymous | June 23, 2011 10:16 PM

@ 10:16 clueless

Posted by Anonymous | June 23, 2011 10:39 PM

To those who exploit human grief by displaying it as news:

May you have that done to you and may you then burn in f****** hell.

Posted by ray | June 27, 2011 2:02 AM

how does someone's grief turn into the "penis envy" argument some of you morons are having on here. Grow up, get a life. And God Bless Dunn's Family and Friends.
