The Body

The Body performed with the Assembly of Light choir at Le Poisson Rouge early Saturday night (6/25). The band and choir alternated playing short sets, but also collaborated on songs like "Even The Saints Knew Their Hour Of Failure And Loss" which features a choir on record. You can check-out an example of The Body WITH the choir in the video below.

Work/Death opened the evening at LPR and the show was out by 9:20PM. The Indian/Bloodiest show at Union Pool saw multiple attendees that fit both in on one night, including photographer Greg Cristman whose Body shots continue below...

I'm sure glad Jesse Ventura came out of retirement to play this gig (and with a choir no less!).

Your joke brought me to the brink of laughter.

Are The Body a christian band? I think so

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2011 12:52 PM

12:52: As they had a shirt that said "Death to Everything" for sale, I would no, they are not a Christian band. Have you even heard the band?

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2011 12:59 PM

I thought the performances were impressive. The sound was really well done, both the choir and band could be heard well.

The show could have been a little longer, and more collaberation between The Body and the Choir would have been great. I shouldn't complain though since the set was a powerful and unique experience. Don't the choir outfits look like the priests from Conan the Barbarian?

"whose Body shots continue below..."

Ha! Wonder if that was intentional.

Both the DC and NYC shows were glorious (but especially the DC show held in the sanctuary of St. Stephens). NPR Music will have a board-mix of the concert with video by (((unartig))) soon.

1:02: Regarding the outfits. When I was watching the show, I couldn't remember what they reminded me of. It was driving me crazy. Thanks!

Whaaat??!!! So many haters! This band is good damnit. Waaaay better then most of the heavy stuff covered on this site. Not saying it's all bad, there is alot of good stuff covered on here to, but there is also alot of bad. This however was good!

WOAH. that looks awesome!

People that don't like this would obviously rather be sitting at home and memorizing the god awful lyrics to the cults record.
