"This Will Destroy The Strokes"

Another dime-a-dozen post-rock band with a terrible name. What's the quota on this?

For some strange reason my trying to post Ariel Pink set times got held for approval but the times are 9, 10:15 and 11:15.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 4:11 PM

@4:11 WHAT? doors are at 7 tho? sounds weird. and which of those openers is silk flowers? i hope the 10:15 cuz i dont really get stevie.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 4:28 PM

set times are generally not supposed to be made public, could be why your comments were held for approval.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 4:42 PM

the spam filter here needs to be tweaked. and don't bother showing up for AP, he won't

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 4:43 PM

Given the quality level of his recent, well-documented performances — both with full band and bullshit karaoke — I can't fathom why anyone would pay to see Ariel pink live.

At least he always seems to be the only one in the room enjoying the experience even LESS than the audience.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 4:46 PM

i kinda like his bad performances! also i called up and the set times are
8-8:30 SilkFlowers, 8:45-9:30stevie, 10:11:30ariel

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 5:01 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 5:07 PM

anthony STROKEd his weiner

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 5:13 PM

yes 4:42, set times are extremely sensitive and proprietary info which BV as a company needs to protect for the venues.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 5:17 PM

In nyc for the one night when nothing exciting is happening. Go figure.

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 5:20 PM

weiner is all over the fucking media!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 2, 2011 6:18 PM

uhm i know that hes a fucking unstable crazy nutjob, but ariel was legit great tonight. sorta proud of him for no fucking up too hard/ never being boring/ not being too too weird. it was a pretty weird set tho.

Posted by Anonymous | June 3, 2011 2:17 AM

Ariel Pink was insane, in the best way possible. Seriously an amazing concert.

Posted by Anonymous | June 3, 2011 9:41 AM

"Ariel Pink looks like Julian Cope."

Yet nowhere near as awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | June 3, 2011 9:58 AM

saw him in november and it was like seeing a completely different band last night-compliment.
