not gonna rain on the Decemberists tonight! weather gods have been warned!!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 14, 2011 8:56 AM

Where can I find that "exploit" someone had written on a blog or music site that talked about how BV and Stereogum were compromising the new music scene in NYC and Brooklyn by playing favorites?

Not much going on here tonight. Yet at the same time, there is a lot going on here tonight.

Didn't you fools learn your lesson during the rain at the Coheed show!?

Posted by Anonymous | June 14, 2011 11:58 AM

I am doing a rain dance right now! The floods will come and make Colin Meloy's hair extra droopy tonight!

Posted by Anonymous | June 14, 2011 12:21 PM

@1158am. it wasn't raining during coheed you bafoon.

Posted by Anonymous | June 14, 2011 12:45 PM

Ian McLagan (Small Faces and Faces and Dylan and Stones band member) @ Joe's Pub.

Colin Meloy is looking more and more like Colonel Sanders every day.

I'm hoping the more appropriate reference point is that Belle and Sebastian show where everyone was complaining how it should be canceled because of the rain and it was horrible that they weren't canceling it and basically rooting for it to be canceled, and then it barely rained a drop during the whole thing.

The Decemberists - extremely bland like white bread. Please throw yourself into the garbage and never appear in music ever again.

Regards,
Music lover

1:10 is right. That was supposed to be a monsoon. Hipsters were in a panic, almost as bad as when the local bodega runs out of chickpeas.

Posted by Anonymous | June 14, 2011 2:15 PM

a real brooklynite (born and bred) doesn't give a rats ass about rain - i'll be there - stay away all you negative minded people - grow up

"@1158am. it wasn't raining during coheed you bafoon."

If it wasn't, maybe it should have.

By the way, it helps to spell the word BUFFOON correctly when calling someone that word.

You buffoon.

1:25 calling yourself a music lover is a sad joke.
You don't need to like colin and co. or their music but common, is there any doubt of his talent and style?

"Btw overhyped oh land show tonight, not telling where.
If you are a good hipster you would find it out..."
