Anna Calvi played a private show on the roof of Spin's offices as part of their "Spin House Live" series last night (7/28). She played a public show at LPR the night before (7/27). The shows were her only US appearances as part of a July visit that also included a stop on David Letterman where she played "Desire". She does hit Osheaga in Montreal this weekend before she heads back to Europe though.

yes, she is looking fine. however, what's looking even finer is that beat-up old telecaster she's using. jonny would be proud. my one thought was ... is that the only outfit she brought with her? wasn't she wearing the same damn thing at lpr, letterman and spin? clearly she needs help from some of the billygurger musicians (ahem, who aren't really musicians, they just try and dress slick) to get her act together.

Damn that is awesome that one of the back up dancers from Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" video started a band now. I thought she was just pantomiming in the video. Cool! There is life after being a video vixen!
