Helms Alee @ the Charleston
Helms Alee

Helms Alee have started a Kickstarter to raise dough for a video for "8/16" the track off of their new LP Weatherhead (stream it in full). The band is halfway to their goal, so help them get there if you can. Check out a promo video for the video below.

Helms Alee played TWO shows on Wednesday night (7/20), starting with a support slot at Music Hall of Williamsburg with Torche/Big Business and concluding with an unannounced appearance at The Charleston with NYC faves The Austerity Program. The show, which was advertised as "Special Hydra Head Guest" (the band's label, Hydra HEad Records), was announced after their Music Hall of Williamsburg appearance via Twitter.

Pictures from MHOW are forthcoming, but until then, check out pictures from The Charleston, that Kickstarter video, and all tour dates below.

looks like it was a good show. I checked out burnt by the sun that night instead, but Austerity Program's a great band, wish I could have made both. I also wish for peace and hummus for all

Glad the austerity program has a drummer now. Saw them a while back with a drum machine...drum machine bands are boring shit.

Austerity Program was the biggest piece o' sh*t excuse for a band id ever seen live so hopefully an actual drummer changed that disaster a bit for the better

Oh man! is there a better female drummer out there than in Helms Alee?!

Happy to see the girls in Helms kick so much ass.

Helms Alee's drummer is sick!!! Her other band Lozen is awesome too.

AP doesn't have a drummer, it just looks that way from these pics because the Helms kit was backlined.

@ 3:04 What!! Austerity Program is really good. Saw them with Coliseum, thought they were good.

Two awesome bands. Saw Helms Alee earlier on this tour and they ripped, rhythm section is killer. AP still doesn't have a drummer haha, look a little harder at the photos. They pull of the drum machine great live, bring their own PA just for the drums and it sounds rad.
