Jay & Ye wait to receive the large bundles of money about to be thrown at them
Jay-Z & Kanye West

Tickets for the previously discussed Jay-Z/Kanye West aka Watch The Throne (isn't throne a synonym for toilet?) show scheduled for September 27 & 28 at IZOD Center go on presale on Thurs 7/28 at 10:00 AM. Presale code is "WTT" for the NJ dates (probably for all of them). You can head to the WTT website for details on all cities starting at midnight tonight (7/27). "Where did they get their clothes? The toilet store?"

I will smash Kanye's face into a car windshield, then take Taylor Swift out on a nice seafood dinner, and then never call her again

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 7:31 PM

can't wait to scalp these

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 7:33 PM

I am not trying to complain but wtf is with the pricing? I thought the Strokes were greedy for charging almost $100 for pit tix. Those $250 tickets had better be some VIP Box bullshits.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 7:58 PM

7:58, these prices are a lot more justified than The Strokes prices

Kanye and Jay have both sold many millions of albums, The Strokes have a far smaller fanbase

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 8:01 PM

HOLY FUCK WHY ARE YOU ALL SO BITTER. LIGHTEN UP!

Definitely not surprising that tickets are that expensive, hip hop concerts from bigwigs are overrated anyways. I'll bet there'll be zillions of cameos though.

Posted by Stephen Whitfield | July 27, 2011 8:13 PM

hey the strokes pit tickets I bought were under 70. Maybe your friend ripped you off?

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 9:04 AM

Don't these twats have enough money? DAMN!

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 9:14 AM

Presale pushed back a week while they add more shows due to "overwhelming demand". Most likely means MSG show incoming

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 9:26 AM

Go listen to 36 Chambers and see why this commercial stuff is GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 9:40 AM

@940! yes 36 chambers one of my fav cds of all time....

same with illmatic
and any tribe cds

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 9:50 AM

So glad we got your Top 5 list, 9:50, really.
Now, you want to turn your attention back to that espresso machine? We've got customers!

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 10:18 AM

Ticketmaster says the show is FOUR HOURS LONG.

So expect a full Jay-Z set, a full Kanye set, and then a full Watch the Throne set. Worth the money.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 10:23 AM

Jay-z looks like Joe Camel

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 10:49 AM

jay-z is one ugly bitch

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 11:00 AM

10:23 — Where you seeing this?

10:49 — So clever & original! If only Nas had thought of that 10 years ago. Wait...

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 11:54 AM

If attending.....Keep your wallet in front pocket.

Posted by a | July 28, 2011 2:25 PM

10:23, Even if Jesus Christ himself descends onto the stage and trades verses with Kanye and Hova, it's not worth $250 a ticket. No 4 hours of entertainment is worth that much, unless it involves a happy ending.
2:25, Who are you hiding your wallet from? Are you afraid that 14 year old girls or their parents are going to be pickpocketing you?

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 3:14 PM

9:26, I doubt they will add the MSG shows until these NJ shows happen. They'll make more money scalping the NJ shows to the secondary market if the supply of available tickets is low.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 3:16 PM

America, you are better than this.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 4:15 PM

@314 $250 is for VIP ticket package, stop commenting on the $250 price tag. Tickets start at $55; floor seats will probably be around $120 tops.

@1154 the 4 hour long statement is on the ticketmaster page of the Las Vegas show (it says doors 630pm, show 730pm, show is four hours long)

@316 they are adding an MSG date, that's why they delayed the presale until next week. plus jay-z and kanye both have MSG boners.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 4:42 PM

gelatinous and smelly

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 5:00 PM

4:42, this is 3:16.
They did not say anything about adding NYC dates. When they spoke of adding dates due to overwhelming demand, they were speaking about the entire tour.
I'm willing to put a wager on the fact that they will NOT add MSG shows until the NJ dates have happened.
Also, floor seats in NYC are not 125. There are only two price ranges: $55 and $250.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 5:18 PM

@518 you clearly don't buy tickets often.

right now they are only listing the range of prices, not the levels of prices. what is up on ticketmaster right now is the lowest/highest price. there will be several ticket levels in between.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 7:03 PM

"@518 you clearly don't buy tickets often."
Hahaha, if you only knew...
With all due respect, you are talking (typing?) out of your ass. Two things are going to happen:
1) There will be even higher priced VIP tickets than $250.
2) MSG shows (if they happen at all on this leg of the tour..) will not be announced until after the NJ shows happen.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 10:01 PM

Also, just because they are calling this a "4 Hour Show", doesn't mean that Jay-Z and Kanye will be performing for that long. There could be an opening act which has not yet been announced.

I can't believe Hank Azaria is playing Gargamel.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:43 AM

Sit right back and you'll hear a tale
A tale of a frightful pair
That started in the borough of Kings
Aboard this vegan blog

The mate was a fugly negro man
The skipper pompous too
They stated they would play one day
And screw over all of you

(thunder sounds)

The blog it started blowing up
With comments big and small
If not for the courage of the webmasters
The concert would get lost
The concert would get lost

So come on in and grow a pair
And post a thing or two
About these twats and their fame game
'Cause you're a Hipster Jew
