The Drums .... wait for it .... suck balls

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 11:44 AM

This band should not exist.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 11:45 AM

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 11:49 AM

If you like these guys, you pee sitting down.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 11:51 AM

THE DUMBS

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 11:59 AM

These guys sound like castration

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 11:59 AM

I usually hate shit like this, but I have to admit that I like them. Nice clean fun pop! I still can't understand how Matthew Dear opened for them a few months back, but There are worse bands to hate on than these guys!

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 12:04 PM

one of those bands that should never be on the bills they're put on

a publicist's creation, that some dumb fucking publicist is too stubborn to admit has failed.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 12:05 PM

Make it stop.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 12:19 PM

Chances of DFA79 coming back around? Venue?

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 12:19 PM

The only person who could have put this band together is my dad.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 12:27 PM

so every other indie band these bands gets to rip off the 80s except these guys?

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 12:37 PM

More or less.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 12:55 PM

they ripped off the 80s....in the sense that they have AIDS

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 1:07 PM

i want to buy you something, but my dad forgot to deposit into my checking account this week

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 1:20 PM

For fuck sakes wimp...never wear a Germs t-shirt again! I can't believe he tried to "butch up" by wearing that cuz he knew they were opening for a bad ole "punk" band. Geez!

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 1:26 PM

This band was created by an algorithm to make you buy paisley shirts.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 1:37 PM

It's funny to read the speculation about the bills they're put on. Death From Above 1979 personally asked them to open the show because they like the band. That's all there was to it.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 2:01 PM

lol at the homophobic sociopaths posting in this thread. Never change, freaks.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 2:15 PM

It's sickening to see the things people will post when they're granted total anonymity.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 2:19 PM

@1:26

But his stylist picked it out for him.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 2:43 PM

Its no more sickening than the idea that this band of talentless kids still had enough money or clout from their last boy band adventure to hire both east and west coast PR firms to buy spots for them in every available media to promote their soul-less fake "indie" neo-80s garbage.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 2:56 PM

Geez. Didn't know there were so many Drums-haters. Are they that bad or is just cool not to like them?

I'm gonna go with B.) It's cool NOT to like them.

Posted by soumynonA | July 26, 2011 3:27 PM

^ it's C) they have AIDS

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 3:39 PM

yeah you're right 2:56. its exactly the same

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 3:48 PM

Anon 2:56 --- How do you know how much money they have? Do you personally know anything about their backgrounds other than the prior bands they were in? Never make assumptions.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 4:41 PM

The Bravery rules!

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 5:38 PM

5:38 for the win

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 6:14 PM

I'm gay and even I think this band blows...

Posted by James Levy | July 26, 2011 6:43 PM

I didn't know Gareth from The Office UK sang in a shitty pseudo-80's band. Bloody brilliant!

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 7:02 PM

6:43- in that case, you must be the one who gave them AIDS

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 8:52 PM

Now THIS is a comments section I can get behind!

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 9:25 PM

9:25 - you can get behind this because you've been giving your behind to The Drums for the week. That old sphincter should be pretty elastic right around now. Oh, and you know that you are as white as they are. Wait until the brothers start passing you around. Damn ... good booty!

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 9:46 PM

^ Yeah, ok trendy boy. I don't even like this band. You try too hard.

I guess the HIV has frazzled your brain enough where you're starting to dream masochistic fantasies upon yourself. Lol, I had no idea you were that vivid!

P.S. - Be sure to take your AZT before bedtime, sonny.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 9:59 PM

One of the best albums of last year, and from what I heard at the show last Friday, the new album should a solid follow-up.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 9:59 PM

The TROLLS come out at night

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 10:04 PM

"Troll" is not a word that should be used past the age of seven.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 10:30 PM

Look at the florid delusion ... 10:30 thinks he runs a blog, and society.
Oh, wait for the 2nd grade angry name calling, and insinuations of AIDS and such.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2011 10:57 PM

I like this band. I think they have good songs. A lot of people feel the same way. I'm proud to be an American.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 2:53 AM

9:25's comment was great. I like "it" too.

Catchy song but The Drums could really use some better New Wave video inspiration...like this:

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 9:04 AM

The Drums are overrated and boring.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 9:59 AM

"Look at the florid delusion ... 10:30 thinks he runs a blog, and society.
Oh, wait for the 2nd grade angry name calling, and insinuations of AIDS and such."

So you dig the word "troll" I take it? It's OK. It's not like you can be taken seriously anyway.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 11:02 AM

So, 11:02, I know you have no life and all, but do you always come back a day after a comment was made to respond like a sissy? Kind of shows the weakness of your character.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 11:18 AM

^ Or it shows that I'm busy doing other, more important things like work, etc. But I'll get downtime, so I respond. You understand, right? Consider yourself flattered that anyone, much less I, acknowledges you.

And you say I'M the one with no life, lol!

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 11:55 AM

or, you're just self important and can't.let.go.of.shit. yeah, I think that's about right ... petty and foolish. hahahahahaha mr. troll gets trolled hahahahahaha

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 12:11 PM

^ Okay, have fun at recess wittle kid.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 12:53 PM

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery :-D
You're welcome

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 2:16 PM

^ So how'd recess go? Did you get held upside down by your ankles again at the playground for your lunch money? :O

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 2:25 PM

You're welcome :-D

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 2:26 PM

Talking to yourself is never healthy.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 2:59 PM

^Are you guys the two same idiots that were arguing about the movie High Fidelity in that other thread?

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 4:08 PM

Lol

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2011 4:19 PM

the sound is good , even if they look gay
