No Flag
No Flag

No Age, who in 2009 backed Bob Mould to play Husker Du songs at ATP, covered Black Flag's "Six Pack" and The Misfits' "Hybrid Moments" at Pitchfork Festival this past weekend. Original Black Flag frontman Keith Morris, who was there with his band OFF!, didn't join No Age on the covers like he did when Superchunk covered Black Flag and The Misfits at House of Vans. However, last night at Levitt Pavilion in LA, No Age and Ceremony played a FYF-presented free show with special guest No Flag, aka No Age, Keith Morris, and fellow founding Black Flag member Chuck Dukowski! Picture taken by Lance Bangs above. Video of No Flag playing "Wasted" and videos of No Age at Pitchfork Fest below...

i saw black flag and the dead kennedys in the early '80's. best shows i have ever seen. now i live in my parent's basement.

Unlike 5:19, I really did see Black Flag and The Dead Kennedys in the early '80's. Not the best shows I have ever seen but great nonetheless. Now I'm a successful attorney who dabbles in real estate on the side and is the landlord who probably rents one of my apartments out to 5:19 and/or his or her parents.

4:09 -- completely agree. The entire floor of Irving Plaza was a crazy pit. That show was fun!

Total Flags.

just horrible. shame on anyone who think this is cool - yr exposing yrself for knowing nothing....

hilarious that over two decades later, you need yr history spoon-fed on re-tread.

i mean, KM is already cashing the cow with his "supergroup" - but CD shoulda known better.

obv, this post is written by someone who is not into No Age's major label bullshit show.

come on kids, sub pop is just like colgate..selling minty shit to brush yr teeth with and spit down the drain. its major drivel...

gimme gimme gimme, gimme some more. gimme gimme gimme, don't ask what for.

LONG LIVE the sad fuxx! i pray there is a NO FLAG tour!!!!!!!! i am sure it would do very well... like aquafresh or crest.

burn yr $ and give yr mind away. its already over.

How are they selling out? They played a free show.

I love the picture above... awesome to see a dude in a wheelchair atop the crowd, hopefully he got let down easily and not like so many others on top of the pit... when it parts like the red sees and you find yourself flat on the ground in a scramble to get up as the crowd closes back in.

I'll be keeping my eyes open to seeing ANY version of Black Flag playing in the SF/Bay Area

i don't know about selling out, usually when you see people selling out, they don't look like they are really digging what they are doing and from the video i saw, these guys look like they are feeling it. I guess some people have 'grown up' or rather grown complacent and can't understand how we others who are aging as well could still be pissed off at the political bullshit in the world and unwilling to gleefully follow the line to our slaughter. I for one am now 42 and unlike a 'fine wine', but rather more a bottle of piss & vinegar.
