Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 10:53 AM

Called box office and they simply replied with "later" with no approximation as to when that would be.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:13 AM

"St. Vincent - Sorry everyone, technical difficulties on the website, they are working on it now and it should be up shortly. I'll keep you posted."

Poor Annie. She just wants to see her show get LCD'd.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:13 AM

sold out! RATS!

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:14 AM

Fuck the Met. You know the held all the tix back for scalpers and Stubhub.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:14 AM

If they only sold these through Ticketmaster!

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:15 AM

everyone always bitches about ticketmaster, but at least you know how to get tickets that way.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:15 AM

Pathetic hipsters trying to be hip by seeing a show at the Met.

8/25 is all about Converge in Brooklyn.

That will be the show of the year.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:18 AM

At least Wavves is playing a free show on 8/25

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:18 AM

^Finally some news about Wavves. Totally over missing St. Vincent now.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:20 AM

Tickets are live at metmuseum.org/spectrum right now.

Posted by Morgan | July 29, 2011 11:27 AM

I SCORED FOUR

Posted by Cuse | July 29, 2011 11:30 AM

think i can do this then jet over to wavves?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:32 AM

geez, it is actually sold out now.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:37 AM

i'm sure these tickets will be selling for an obscene amount of cash shortly.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:38 AM

got six. I look forward to scalping to some of you ;)

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:38 AM

11:32 I will leave early if I have to. Can't miss wavves

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:39 AM

lol. i bet ticket for this is at least $30!

you silly hipsters.

save that money for Bjork's new show.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:39 AM

lol @ 11:39 - it's a benefit for the MET. Oh right, you only pretend to support the arts.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:40 AM

where do you buy tickets

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:41 AM

You buy them 15 minutes ago, 11:41.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:41 AM

11:40 I'm a pro. it's my business. I don't care about the arts.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:42 AM

11:42 - a pro what?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:43 AM

11:40 ugh, the tickets have been purchased. The Met will get it's money one way or the other. I think your righteousness supersedes your ability to think logically.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:46 AM

^ ticket broker

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:47 AM

lol 1140am. you really go to met that often?

I know they don't have those kinds of museums out in midwest but save yourself some $$$ and spend it on real artist like Bjork.

St. Vincent will be forgotten soon.

She's not that special.

Bjork is though.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:48 AM

1140 is exactly pretentious hipster I hate seeing going to shows. Going to the MET to see some artist cause I'm a hipster.

Dumbass.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:49 AM

tickets back up

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:50 AM

How much is this for the people that bought tickets?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:52 AM

People who comment on Brooklyn Vegan are the best. I'd be really curious to see if 11:40 is anything like what 11:49 seems to think he or she is like.

This entire line of argument is ridiculous. Either go to the show or don't. But why the need to rip people who want to go?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:53 AM

$30 + $2.50 per ticket web fee

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:54 AM

$30

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:54 AM

just scored 2 tickets at 11:52. keep trying

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:55 AM

2 tix are $65.

But real importantly, why does it say unreserved but then gave me seat numbers?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:56 AM

Just got one! Strange system where the site keeps putting them up and taking them back down. Wonder if that's intentional or just terrible computer software.

Posted by Paul | July 29, 2011 11:56 AM

1153am because hipsters have terrible taste in music silly.

Why even argue about Bjork not being better than St. Vincent?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:56 AM

Who is comparing Bjork and St. Vincent? What's the purpose of that?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:58 AM

"why does it say unreserved but then gave me seat numbers"

The seat numbers are to keep track of how many tickets they've sold, genius.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:58 AM

Lol converge plays 3 times a year in NYC. Got old after the first show.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 11:59 AM

yeah why compare Bjork and St. Vincent when Wavves is so far superior to both of them?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:02 PM

This is worse then the Obama - Boehner Snafu!

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:03 PM

I know you have a little penis, 11:58. Doesn't mean you have to troll websites and shit on people to make up for it. I've NEVER seen a ticket that says GA/unreserved and then tells you seat numbers (ie C14, C13).

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:03 PM

1203 what is this ur 4th show eva

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:07 PM

just got a tickets by refreshing over and over (I assume the slow trickle/delay is a result of tickets being let back into the pool when they expire after 20 minutes in people's carts)

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:08 PM

12:07 not eva, EVA

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:08 PM

just got a second pair at 12:08. yall sleeping

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:09 PM

62 comments is too many for this

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:13 PM

1159pm dumbass hipster.

yea converge plays ny 3 times a year.

idiot.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:15 PM

^it indirectly involves wavves

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:15 PM

This entire thread is a conversation between one person who hates St. Vincent for some inexplicable reason and another who loves St. Vincent for some inexplicable reason.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:15 PM

If that were true, 12:15, how come there is not a single post in this thread extolling the virtues of St. Vincent?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:18 PM

"I've NEVER seen a ticket that says GA/unreserved and then tells you seat numbers (ie C14, C13)."

Yes, because all your Ticketmaster stubs say don't say Section: GA# Seat: XX

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:18 PM

Via the Met's twitter account:

"The August 25 @st_vincent concert on the roof is sold out. Email spectrum@metmuseum.org if you'd like to be added to the waitlist."

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:21 PM

Yeah I just called and got the 'sold out' message

Posted by Ace | July 29, 2011 12:23 PM

Enough already! 70 comments for this girl?~! Geez hipsters.

You need to go find someone with more talent and not snooze fest.

Bjork, Fever Ray, Patti Smith, and etc.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:33 PM

^ if 'and etc.' means wavves, you are correct

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:35 PM

Thank goodness there are plenty of tickets for the Webster Hall show, which will be 1000 times better than some outdoor rooftop nonsense. Remember the last time St. Vincent played outdoors at Summerstage? That was terrible!

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:35 PM

So who's opening for Wavves at East River Park, anyway?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:36 PM

^dum dum girls

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:44 PM

st vincent sucks

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:47 PM

who wants to see this? the chick's eyes are too far apart.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 12:47 PM

Converge sucks

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 1:47 PM

147 listens to st. vincent while eating his hummus.

listen to real music.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 1:53 PM

Implying Converge is real music. lawl

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 1:54 PM

Because Converge's wall of inaudible guitar noise and distorted vocals makes them real music. That style died with Cryptic Slaughter.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 1:58 PM

dum dum girls not opening for wavves. solo set by dee dee.

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 2:44 PM

lol 158pm dumbass. listen to axe to fall on your headphones and you don't hear any guitars?

you're deaf cause you've been listening to too much garbage like st. vincent

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 3:04 PM

10:53, why were you so adamant about tickets for this not going on sale today?

Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2011 3:51 PM

You asshole haters have no idea of how crestfallen I am about missing this ticket sale. Oh what I would give to be able to see Annie again this year. The Our Concert Could Be Your Life show wasn't enough. I'm addicted. She's an angel and my muse. If I made it into this show I don't think I'd be able to contain myself. I'm all hott and bothered just thinking about being out of that rooftop with Annie nearby.

Can anyone PLEASE sell me a ticket?!!?!??

Posted by Barry H | July 29, 2011 4:37 PM

What the fuck, her website said tickets would go on sale today!!?!? I bet the only people who got tickets were scalpers and not true fans. Fuck you, dude who said he got six tickets. Fuck that shit. Eat my 7 1/2 inches and 70k salary.

Posted by jerkstore | July 30, 2011 12:40 PM

dear "eat my 7 1/2 inches"

It's going to be a garden party...I don't think someone like you would fit in anyways.

xx
