It seems 7:00pm show start, so I would assume Weezer/Lips at about 8:30ish...just guessing though.

They must've had some serious trouble selling tickets to Weezer/Flaming Lips. I've gotten emails from LiveNation everyday for the past week (today included) telling me that tickets are still available!

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 3:02 PM

Yeah...going to score a $5 ticket outside tonight!

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 3:05 PM

They priced themselves out of the market 100-200 Sec should have been $50 300-400 should have been $30 and Lawn for $10....

Yea, with the LiveNation ticket maps things, you can see just how many tickets haven't yet sold. It really doesn't seem to be selling that well; I assume the Jones Beach show cannibalized it to some extent? I bought eighth-row tickets for NJ yesterday. They were way overpriced and I originally thought I'd just go and sit on the lawn for cheap fun, but I couldn't pass up actually decent seats, which I pretty much never get. But I agree, the prices didn't help. At even $75 rather than $100, I would've bought them immediately instead of dithering for awhile.

That said, the lawn seats are a totally decent deal. If you buy 'em in a group of four, they're $25 after fees. Not bad for two bands that charge $40-50 apiece individually (that's the thing -- these tickets are $100 because frankly, seeing either band in the NYC area = $50 per ticket. But it's kind of dumb that one two-hour set is being charged like two full concerts).

Thank you BV for tickets for tonights show! Hopefully you provided seats and not lawn!

Does anybody have a hummus recipe to share? I'm broke tonight, and reckon it's beat to stay home and mash the chickpeas.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 3:19 PM

^ I have one!

1) Sit on toilet.
2) Excrete.
3) Scoop out contents.
4) Put in blender (or straight in bowl if you like it raw).
5) Set to puree (Note: If you had diarreah, steps 4 and 5 not necessary).
6) Pour out contents, garnish with laxatives.
7) Serve marinated.
8) Enjoy!

You've just made Homemade Hummus!

I have actually purchased Weezer albums.
Sooo there's no excuse for hyper inflated ticket prices.

2:47: Yeah, that's a good thing.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 4:01 PM

thanks for that link!

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 4:01 PM

Why would you see Flaming Lips and sit on the lawn? Need to be down under IMO.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 4:23 PM

^ Hey, if Wayne wants to ride the kangaroos...

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 4:40 PM

Are the Lips and Weezer really only doing an hour each?

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2011 4:54 PM

I just took the most epic dump. Jalapenos on my Subway sangwich at lunch today, and boy did they do a number on the way out. Ya ever have a dump that comes out like a homeless guy's dump, all gelatinous and smelly? Well, that was this one, and I think I'm done for the night now. Ya have a good time at Jones Beach, I'm gonna just lay in the grass and smile.

Yeaaaah Flaming Lips! Happy days, currently sat in my summerhouse (I know summerhouses aren't seen as the coolest places to hang out) and loving the tunes.
