Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 2:34 PM

when did ashton kutchner join wilco?

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 2:51 PM

@231 it's funny how you act like you know what you're talking about. base reasoning concerning supply and demand doesn't apply to a situation in which demand so greatly exceeds supply (such as this case); you also cannot make supply/demand comparisons across events (i.e. you cannot act as though the additional supply of 9/23 tickets will have any significant effect on the already-distributed 9/22 tickets). the addition of 1,000 extra tickets and an extra date will not affect ticket prices for 9/22, at least not by more than $5.

long story short, i already sold my pair for 9/22 for 170. i will wake up on friday, get four tickets for 9/23, and sell them for $100/ticket (since friday shows go for more). then i will be $300 richer, and may consider attending the concert.

scalpers rejoice.

254. did you write that while the cock was in your mouth? or after the spit-fire?

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 3:02 PM

Too bad for 9/23...
1) Descendents @ Roseland
2) Human League @ Best Buy Theatre
3) Roger Daltrey @ Nassau
4) Popped Festival in Philadelphia

2:54, how does it feel to be part of the problem?

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 3:16 PM

You will pay one day f u g y u

rejoice if you must.

Better enjoy it now.

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 3:34 PM

2:54 you are a liar. you won't even have tkts in hand for 1 month.

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 3:35 PM

i have tickets email me at 45yearoldparkslopelesbian@gmail.com

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 3:40 PM

2:51: Dude, where's my Yankee Hotel Foxtrot?

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 3:42 PM

2:23 is a scalper, but loses money on every event

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 3:49 PM

nels cline should be in the middle of that picture with his arms spread apart in the jesus pose. best living guitarist.

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 3:57 PM

Yeah if any of you actually believe 2:54 then you are an even bigger loser than they are. There is no way he sold those tickets for 9/22 for that money. He is just a stupid troll
Not to mention one who knows nothing. There will be plenty of tickets for face or less for both Wilco shows either on Craigs the week of or outside the park day of.
Even without the added date this would be true but the added date just sticks it to scalpers even more which is always a good thing.

Of you want to really understand how ticket prices work, you need to understand the correlation to how ticketmaster and Mexican chickpea farmers are interconnected. Let me explain...
When a drought occurs below the rio grande and causes a short supply of chickpeas the cost of hummus goes up, thereby giving less money in the wallets of us concert growers, so ticketmaster will lower prices, but when a good growing season occurs, hummus is cheap allowing ticketmaster to charge more.
It's really very simple...

Irony!

Posted by Anonymous | July 15, 2011 4:28 PM

@302 it was the spit-fire

@316 it feels like my pockets are heavy

@334 i will enjoy it and will never pay

@335 you don't need tix in hand to sell tickets, everything i said is true. they bought them bc lowest price on stubhub was 85 without fees at the time and the 9/23 date wasn't announced yet.

@400 see above

@all suck my dick

Posted by f u g y u | July 15, 2011 6:12 PM

Oh snap.

Secondary market gobbled up all of today's tickets, as they will next week. When they can't get anywhere near what they are asking, a good number of tickets will get dumped on ticketmaster week-of and day-of show. There's no reason to even buy from ticketmaster anyway. There will be plentiful tickets at face from craigslist from real people.
There's really absolutely no reason to buy from the scalper sites either, unless you're just too lazy or impatient.

Damn, that was a long sentence. I'm pretty sure it's properly punctuated, though.
