The Year of Hibernation

As mentioned, Youth Lagoon (aka Trevor Powers) has been planning a North American tour in support of his upcoming album The Year of Hibernation. That tour has now been announced and, as discussed, includes Mercury Lounge on September 12. Tickets are still on sale. All dates are listed below.

The tour announcement does not include the previously mentioned September 30th show at Glasslands with Gem Club. That show has also been taken off Glasslands' website and off sale, though Ticketfly (which doesn't mention Youth Lagoon) says it goes on sale on August 5th now. Stay tuned for more details on that.

Since signing with Fat Possum (and Lefse in Europe), some changes have been made to the album. Despite anything initially mentioned, that's the new album artwork above, and the final tracklist is below. The LP will also come with a bonus 7" single (also available as digital bonus tracks). Those songs are "Bobby" and "Ghost to Me". The Year of Hibernation comes out September 27 on Fat Possum.

All tour dates, album tracklist, and the "July" video are below...

I would like to jump back to the Anna Calvi post for one moment. The listing of [ Elvis' "Surrender." ] is incorrect. It should be Elvis's "Surrender".

you won't be able to count your tattoos and eat billyburgers for the rest of your life. at some point in time, you're going to want to know how to use language to your advantage. start now.
