is the clown shit scene recruiting? where do i sign up?

Posted by Anonymous | August 19, 2011 2:37 PM

What's not to take seriously?

Nice. Caitlin rocks.

I've seen her play a couple of times and she needs to get over herself.

Very good song.

Why shouldnt people take this seriously asshole? She is a great song writer with a genuinly talented band. This whole "get over herself," thing also is ridiculous. Go see her, talk to her after the show, ask her about the things she's into, and you will see she's a nice person. Wanna talk about clown ass shit? Let's talk about EMA. Pitchfork may love her but she is horrible. How can you take bands like Wavves or Girls seriously? Blah blah blah I don't care...there are many genres of music for a reason. While you are at it check out other artists from the Nashville scene like Apache Relay, Andrew Combs, Those Darlins, etc. That clown shit scene has some quality coming from it. I can't wait until those bands are huge and your shitty "chill wave," bands are completely forgotten about. Also Bon Iver is fucking horrible and I'm generally not one to hate on music just because I don't listen to it per say.

Why did the hipster burn the roof of his mouth?
He ate some pizza before it was cool, man.

not cool or interestng. sorry to @6:50 who clearly cares a lot about this but... srsly. this music is meh. also @6:50, the fact she may be a nice person has nothing to do with whether she makes good music...irrelevant.

you will come to my show simply because of my blank, hipster, flirting glance

Clearly your "friends" told you what was good & bad in regards to music.
So, either you are a troll, or have absolutely no grasp of the concept that music, like art is entirely subjective. I'm sorry Caitlin doesn't do it for you, because she certainly does for us, and does it well. No matter how many people you get to agree with you, it doesn't make you right. So shut up and go back to being an ass who tears down other people because you can't create something on your own. You might want to watch this:

oh. I'm sorry...
I meant this:

Meh. Dime store Eagles.

Saw Caitlin Rose in Boston the other night, opening for Hayes Carll. Never heard her before and she was terrific. I've since downloaded her recent CD, but I have to say she was much better live.Liked that plaintive Patsy Cline'ish tone in her voice. Came across as more "honest" than Niko case who is also compared to Patsy sometimes.
Lots of venom in these comments though. Hard to understand hating Caitlin or Bon Iver for that matter. Not everything is everyone's cup of tea, but that doesn't mean these folks don't have talent. Get up there yourself and do better.
