Afro Punk Sunday has been cancelled as well. Afro Punk Saturday will most likely take place at Steiner Studios. Line-up will be shuffled around.

^ Confirmation on the cancellation? Link?

No confirmation link. A birdie told me. Plus Mayor Bloomberg has cancelled outdoor events in NYC during the hurricane anyways. Saturday will happen either at Commodore Barry Park, or at Steiner.

Dave Matthew Band Caravan on Sunday is as good as canceled. I am hoping that Gogol Bordello can find a local venue with a two days notice.

DMB Caravan for Saturday and Sunday is postponed according to Bowery's Twitter. AfroPunk is talking like everything is still on, but with permits canceled, they are done too. Bloomberg is saying Sat. events should end by 2PM, meaning they either have to go indoors or shelve stuff...

"Bloomberg is saying Sat. events should end by 2PM"

I think that is only for areas that will be most affected by the hurricane (A I believe). Sunday covers all zones.

Over reaction. I will just rain.

No, he said that for events not in Area A. All events in Area A are canceled outright all day on Saturday.

This NY1 article has the scoop about midway down:

abc news says the hurricane is heading up fifth ave

So a legit NY1 link is held for moderation yet this jerk can post some kind of shady, probably virus-ridden link? Adjust your filters BV...
