Cut Copy

Cut Copy headlined a sold out Celebrate Brooklyn show at Prospect Park on Thursday (8/11) with Midnight Magic and Foster the People (who have TWO SOLD OUT Terminal 5 shows coming up with Reptar). Cut Copy focused mainly on stuff off their two most recent albums, opening up strong with favorites "Feel the Love" and "Take Me Over."

Cut Copy team up with Midnight Magic again on a tour with Washed Out. You can catch them on September 13 at The Wellmont Theatre. Tickets are still available.

show fucking ruled

Midnight Magic was great if you want to hear virtually the same song over and over with a female singer who acts like a drag queen.

Dude, I'd peel some Jorts of that ass FO SHO!

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 11:35 AM

How was Foster? They are gonna be HUGE!

Posted by Anon | August 13, 2011 11:35 AM

This was the best show of the year! Cut Copy and the night was amazing. The crowd was so hot especially this guy I met named Quinn who was tripping

How did it compare to the free Williamsburg Waterfront show last year?

posts 1-4 & 6 : please tell us that you are all, in fact, out homosexuals and not really that devoid of good sense and musical taste. please.

All these bands are terrible. I may be snarky but anyone who disagrees with me is WRONG.

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 3:30 PM

Well, 1:55, I made the Jort comment... I'd wear that chicks stage panties like Leatherface..

I'm straight and think Cut Copy sound like karaoke while eating a fat dick.

Anyone who likes this band is of no use to the rest of humanity.. Unlike me.

Remember: "SUPPORT THE JORT"

^ and you can count too!

I heard Cut Copy was pissed someone ate three cases of hummus in their refrigerator backstage. Security was called and dispatched looking for two men carrying a large bag of pita chips. An hour later, security found James Murphy and Frohawk eating hummus.

^you just massacred 3 memes, try again for varsity next year

Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2011 12:05 AM

everyone knows that James Murphy prefers foodstuffs of higher carbohydrate content such as glazed donuts, soda, ice cream, candy bars, and Peeps (the original yellow ones). Hummus is a last resort for James. get your facts straight.

I don't believe that report - I think the only reason for Cut Copy to call the police would be if someone stole their tubes of KY and the vibrating ass dildos.

James Murphy's favorite sunday pre-church activity is felatting Frohawk

A conversation with Nancy Whang and James Murphy:

James: Can I have a Donut
Nancy: I only have sushi.
James: Bullshit, give me a fucking donut.
Nancy: I only have sushi.
Frohawk: I have lots of donuts, James.
James: I will take 4 please
Frohawk & James: Go lay naked in bed together eating donuts.

Sushi is Japanese. Nancy's Whang isn't Japanese, dumbass racist. She was born in Portland, and is ethnically Chinese. A better line for Nancy would read:
"I onry hah POK AN RICE"

Midnight Magic: Truly one of the best live bands you'll see
Foster the People: Frustrate the People
Cut Copy: Cut Copy

PS middle brass guy has a HUGE crotch bulge.

Frustrate the Poophole

You mean a conversation between. And the last line is a description of action and not a line of conversation. You're dumb when you're trying to be funny.

this was one of the best show, hugs here from Brazil.

Posted by Redes de proteção | August 14, 2011 12:04 PM

Our I love this band has its own style.

Posted by Telas de proteção | August 14, 2011 12:05 PM

10:57 it's good to see that all that money Mom & Dad paid for your Tisch degree is getting good use. Now get off that iPhone and make my latte, I'm kind of in a hurry -- chop chop!

Was at the show and thoroughly enjoyed myself. But am I the only one who gets really bummed out about the fact that Cut Copy BARELY play their own instruments live? Am I the only one who notices that 75% of their "live" sound is a backing track? I mean, one of the dudes stands there with a guitar around his neck and spends most of the time not playing it.

Anyway, if this drives you nuts, I've found the key is to just dance and not look at the stage. Works like a charm.

1:55-try again. Straight guy here, and I posted the third comment. Let me get this straight. I'd be LESS gay if I DIDN'T notice the obvious dragness of the female singer (a tough feat)? Interesting. Methinks the astroglide lies in you nightstand.

I'm not surprise Foster sold out 2 shows! They're playing here in Orlando next month and they had to change venues to a bigger one!! I understand why they're so big though, it's because their songs are so incredibility catchy. Check out their video for Helena Beat, it's great! http://www.vevo.com/watch/foster-the-people/helena-beat/USSM21100904
