Cerebral Ballzy at the Acheron in 2010 (more by Samantha Marble)
Cerebral Ballzy

Daytrotter is presenting the 'Barnstormer 5,' the website's first East Coast tour, at the end of this month into early September. Various bands play on various dates from New Hampshire to Iowa. All dates are listed below.

As of today, the tour hits NYC twice. First on August 27 at Brooklyn Bowl (instead of Ghent, NY where the show was originally scheduled) with JBM, We Are Augstines, Guards, Doug Paisley, Des Ark, Christopher Paul Stelling, and The Loom. Then again on August 29 at The Living Room with Cerebral Ballzy (??!?), Princeton, Guards, and We Are Augustines. Tickets, not cheap, are available for the whole tour including both NYC dates, but we are also giving away a pair of tickets to each NYC show. Details on how to win, with all dates (most with White Rabbits and some with Deer Tick), below....

"Tickets, not cheap, are available for the whole tour..."

Tickets are only $20...I'd say that's a steal for all these bands. What gives BV?!

This band is as cool as Odd Future; and, will be long gone by 2012. They're both Boy Bands manufactured by the music industry.

These guys are as punk rock as Justin Bieber.

when is BV gonna acknowledge the brilliance of Christopher Paul Stelling? He's easily the best thing happening to music in Brooklyn, i have no idea how you've ignored him for 2-3 years.

for shame, vegan!

"He's easily the best thing happening to music in Brooklyn"

That's a tall order. This dude doesn't even have an album out yet. I watched some Youtube vids. He's alright, but you are either CPS himself or have your head too far up his ass.

Thanks for covering this BV, tickets may be expensive, but it's a very expensive tour to put on, the past many having gone seriously into the red. Daytrotter's done a hell of a lot for independent music and fans of it... I'm really stoked to be playing a couple of these shows. Thanks for supporting...

@ 2:23 - just a supporter man, i stand by my claim. the guy's a hell of a songwriter and performer. when he does put out an album, i'm sure it's gonna be good as hell too.

Both New York area barn shows were moved to NYC? The rest of NY really doesn't support indie music does it.
