Earthquake
Earthquake
Earthquake

That was so weird. I still feel kind of nauseous (no dishes rattled though) (in Brooklyn anyway). I hope everyone's ok in Virginia (and elsewhere).

Yo that shit was CRAZY! It reminded me of being at a drum and bass rave back in 96 when the bass cabinets were on blast!

Very interesting feeling....kind of like having a jackhammer being used for construction on the floor below you. I wonder if there will be aftershocks.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:31 PM

I felt it in Greenpoint brooklyn, it went on for what felt like ten seconds or so...yikes!

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:35 PM

In midtown Manhattan and didn't feel a fuckin' thing. I want a do-over.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:35 PM

Wasn't an earthquake. Just frohawk and James Murphy releasing hummus farts at the same time.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:37 PM

bunch of hipsters with the vapors
calm down, all the buildings are standing

Frohawk's twitter:

Earthquake at the beach!!!

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:37 PM

It was a bizarre experience. I was sitting in my apartment having lunch, (yes it was chickpea based) and the picture on my wall was rattling and the apple juice was getting waves in the glass. Weird!

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:38 PM

Frohawk's twitter:

But the exciting news is that I just ate half a burrito that's been in my backpack for 2 days and I'm still alive / it was still delicious.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:38 PM

That sucked. I felt nothing.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:38 PM

felt it very strong...

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:39 PM

i thought i was having a stoke. was relieved when i found out it was an earthquake..

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:40 PM

I was enjoying some brunch with my friends, and one of them said "oh, what's wrong with your chamomile tea?" and I looked down and noticed the ripples. But the thing that really did it was when the Norah Jones CD skipped right when she was singing "... don't know wha .... why". Then all the babies in the place started crying. It was pretty scary.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:43 PM

calculous... calculous...

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:45 PM

suck my dick

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:47 PM

Whoa. The Washington monument is rumored to be tilted! To a similar angle that a baby carrot would angled when dipping it into a robust hummus platter!

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:50 PM

2:43, you brunch quite late. I usually brunch between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00pm. I always make sure I am wrapped by 1:30pm so that I have time to doze off in my window seat to the soothing sounds of Feist.

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:51 PM

i'm glad frohawk's burrito was okay

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 2:52 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 23, 2011 3:04 PM

Frohawk is a professional concert goer. I heard that he also does Bar Mitzvas and private engagements. But beware, his rates are steep.
