Rage Against the Machine

...When Rage Against the Machine lead singer-provocateur Zack de la Rocha stood before 60,000 people, raised his fist, barked out wicked smart, superbly flowed calls to action, pointed out the disparity between rich and poor, spit venom at the billionaires and wondered on their power, the sense of no future that has ignited unrest throughout the world in 2011 felt shockingly, palpably present.

...Throughout the hour-and-15-minute set, Rage pulled its weight, proved itself to be one of the only rock bands on Earth able to captivate such a large space. Its conquest was so assured, in fact, that it jumped back in time to render an earlier set moot....

Though singer-guitarist-pianist Matthew Bellamy knows his way around a riff -- he quoted Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Animals and others during breaks between songs -- [Muse] makes form-over-function rock, these architecturally grandiose musical structures that are as perfectly crafted as they are grooveless. Muse's fan base no doubt disagrees; The thousands sang along to every lyrical cliché and gymnastic bridge, followed the band down every meandering path; when huge balloons were floated out into the crowd as the band meandered on, they bounced throughout the Coliseum until they exploded and dropped confetti.
-[Pop & Hiss]

The L.A. Rising Festival, which took place on July 30th in Los Angeles at the LA Memorial Coliseum, was organized by the Rage Against The Machine crew. The nine-hour festival featured the band's first appearance in Los Angeles in ten years, as well as sets from Muse, Rise Against, Immortal Technique, El Gran Silencio, and Lauryn Hill, who welcomed her sixth child just last week(!). More pictures from the LA event are below.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 7:01 PM

i loved rage in high school. zach is a great lyricist and they did turn me on to a lot of great political writers and causes, but the truth is over time i couldnt reconcile that with the fact they absolutely are huge, huge corporate whores. and thats the truth. groups like fugazi and crass LIVED according to all their sloganeering and politics and you believed in what they were saying. rage is just a sony-backed clear channel supporting act. and that whole arizonia boycott? you think governor brewer gives a shit if rage (a band who, btw, played arizonia once in like the last fifteen years) boycotts them? she's probably glad! its a victory for him, and only the fans suffer.

but thats just my opinion. nowadays they just depress me. :/

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 7:45 PM

So, let me get this straight.... Because a band makes music people buy and pay to see live and therefor become rich, they are no longer allowed to preach the ideologies they represented before said music became popular? That's just idiotic logic.

Posted by Doc | August 1, 2011 7:46 PM

It ain't idiotic logic at all. In fact it's even more pathetic than some anti-gay Jesushead sucking cock in a men's room.
Everything about RATM is a joke.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 7:51 PM

7:46 Their 1st record which contained ant-corporate ideas was financed and released by SONY. Their first record!

"they are no longer allowed to preach the ideologies they represented before said music became popular?"

No, they aren't allowed to preach their ideology because it is in direct contradiction with their actions.

RATM can fuck right off.

How do you keep a moron in suspense?

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 9:13 PM

I built a little empire out of some crazy garbage
Called the blood of the exploited working class
But they've overcome their shyness
Now they're calling me Your Highness
And LA fags scream, "Kiss me, Zack de la Rocha"

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 9:28 PM

7:51- I can't see any merit in your argument. Your basically saying that I'm wrong but can't define why except to present an example of contradictory behavior. So...... Idiotic.

7:52- Sony may have released their first major label debut, but Rage had a self-financed/ self-promoted 12 song cassette featuring many of the songs off that album before Sony was even involved. And please keep in mind this is pre-napster stuff we're talking here. It wasn't so easy to get your music heard back when Rage formed. Also, we're all part of the system in some way, but many of us choose to fight from the inside and use the corporate machine against itself. It would be one thing for Rage to claim an anti-corporate agenda before there signing to Sony and then flip and start making songs about the greatness of The Walkman. Instead they got their message out to more people using resources that could have instead gone to create a group like The Backstreet Boys. I think we're all the better that the former won out.

Ya know what? If I had the eyes and ears of millions of fans watching and listening to me while I preach a message to bring justice into this world, and I could make millions of dollars doing it at the same time... Cha ching! You bet I'd do it. And so would you pansies.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 9:42 PM

9:39 yep

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 9:43 PM

Hypocrisy of all sorts erodes the merits of a person's stated ideals. It's sad but true - people judge the message based on the messenger. RATM are hypocrites, straight up. If you cannot face reality to see that fact just from the evidence provided in this thread, then no amount of proof is going to convince you ... you are an idiot drone, an ideologue, and whether you realize it or not part of another machine.

Anti-capitalism is not a belief system, it is the stance of opposition to a belief system. Why not grow some balls and align yourself with an actual belief system, and then we can talk about the merits and failures of your chosen system. You - BV poster or RATM - do not get to just oppose without offering solutions. You know what we call those that just oppose without offering solutions? We call them "whiners". Like a little baby bitch, against everything and not adding anything to the dialog. Against this even Karl Marx would stand.

As for the music, it is completely uninteresting. But, that aside (because that is subjective), the politics are hollow when there is nothing empirically (ticket price, use of your wealth, your choice of automobiles, etc.) that separates you from any other act.

As for the "working against the machine from the inside" ... nigga please. Stop reading science fiction novels and just refuse to do the work assigned to you by your white devil boss tomorrow. Let's see how that works out for you. THAT would be raging against the machine.

Come on fan boys ... let's hear your limousine Liberal apology!

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 9:54 PM

So much misplaced anger. Crappy bands like the Strokes are allowed to exist, but when a band has a message and a voice, they get villified because they utilize the corporate machine to get their point across. Honestly, why do you give a shit? If they inspired at least one person to do some good in this world, then what's the problem?

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 9:56 PM

RATM are the worst kind of con men. They help no one but themselves. BV commentors are usually mean spirited assholes, but they're on the money this time. Fuck RATM and all their friends.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:00 PM

If their music inspires people to take a stand, or even to read a friggin book, then they did their job. I don't give a rat's ass if they make a trillion dollars doing it. If they inspire people, they deserve it. The end.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:02 PM

9:56 they are utilizing the corporate machine by charging their fans $100 a ticket? Fuck outta here with your apologist bullshit.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:03 PM

Come on limousine Liberal - is that all you got? And what do you consider "do some good in this world"? Let's make it simple and practical ... how much of your hard earned "working against the machine from the inside" capital did you donate to charitable causes this past year? As I recall, we had some pretty awful stuff happen in the midwest, in Haiti, in Japan, not to mention the ongoing poverty in Appalachia. Well, how much do you care?

I'm sorry that you read my tone as anger. It's not anger, it's passion - passion against hypocrisy, passion against the tricking and misleading of people with confusing and hypocritical rhetoric that has been empirically, historically proven to have failed, passion for the true poor and the true downtrodden. Come on, you being a RATM fan should be able to relate to that.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:04 PM

RATM makes anti- establishment themed records that make Sony $. I mean it's absurd. If you support RATM and think you have a passion against hypocrisy you really are a special kind of idiot.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:08 PM

At least they're doing something; which is a lot more than most bands do. How many bands can you name that speak out against injustices to a large mainstream audience? Sure there's a lot of hardcore bands out there that do the same thing, but they don't have as much power to make a difference, because they just don't have the mass audience.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:14 PM

Apparently Rage is not welcome in Williamsburg! Lulz. Still, gotta side with the hipsters on this one. RATM sucks donkey dick in every possible way.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:16 PM

Rock and roll bands are (duh) entertainers.
It seems like you want a leader to believe in. So, I guess that the hope and change ain't doing it for ya these days, huh?

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:17 PM

10:14 yes they're doing something, they're making money off of retards like you

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:19 PM

I think I like RATM MORE now (as well as any other genre you terndy hipster losers automatically dismiss with ignorance) that they seem to really get you losers' vaginas flaring right the fuck up. Menstruate on, dweebs.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:19 PM

The RATM apologist is only fourteen. Cut him some slack.

Is it just me or does Che look cross-eyed?

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:21 PM

Where do you get the idea that their bloviating makes any difference at all? I'd like them if they didn't suck, and I find their politics laughable.

I'm sure some small measure of their fan base is composed of bolivarian nitwits and other radicalized community college grads, but they're still mass-market meathead cock rock with the politically oblivious fans that go along with it.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:22 PM

10:19 - thank you. I invite you to a rational, intellectual discussion of the basis of why these cretins are hypocrites, and you digress into scatological name calling (google it, freak). Thank you for not disappointing my expectations of you, and proving once again just how a limited intelligence can be manipulated at will.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:35 PM

10:35 - thank you again. you really need to learn at some point that when you find yourself in a hole, the first thing you need to do is stop digging. You don't even realize you are proving our points just with your childish responses. Atta boy! Keep it up, you are just making the points all the more true. The truth that hypocrisy attracts the weak minded.

Q: What's the definition of "pompous pseudo-intellectual who thinks they're vocabulary is so precious and superior"?
A: Anyone winning an argument against a limousine Liberal

Final Score ....

Brooklyn: 5
RATM: 0

That means that RATM has been eliminated, and Brooklyn goes on to play Russell Simmons in the next round.

9:36 and 9:39 (II) - Why am I dumb/ a moron?

9:47 - Evidence? All I see is incorrect information and stright up opinion. Just because you don't like the music or think that a band has to stay underground and out of mainstream culture to be ligiet does not make what you say true. Rage has never needed to align itself with a belief system because it's overall belief is that their is something evil and vile underneath the society we live in that keeps the rich rich and the poor poor, that squanders government funds on wars when their are people starving all over the world, and that creates people like those in this talkback that will curse a man for driving a Range Rover (not an Escalade, not a Hummer, not even a fucking Audi, but a Range Rover) while they sip their Starbucks behind their MacBook Pros listening to music on their Beats By Dre headphones. Rage belief is to get mad. Get mad with the bullshit you see around you. Get mad about the injustice. Get mad about something... ANYTHING! Just don't be a fucking robot and sit their and say, I don't like them so they have nothing to offer to anyone. And, to all the haters, just so you know how deeply flawed you all are, the simple fact that you are here, responding to this debate, and getting all angry at Rage for making money, driving cars, and trying to sell records means that they belief system is working. You will not stand by and take what you perceive as hypocrisy lightly. So.... are you really all that different from Rage?

In the beginning, God made America. He made the East coast first, then He lifted up the land, and anything that was loose rolled down to California. The loosest oozed down to the sinkhole of LA.
True fact.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:54 PM

Well put, Doc.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 10:57 PM

10:51 evidence about what, exactly?
do they charge $100 per ticket for their fans to see them? check
do they not redistribute their own wealthy, in spite of telling the rest of us that we need to do so with ours? check
do they get paid, a lot, to sing about the injustice of others not getting paid at all? check
do they receive corporate sponsorships, such as from Gibson and Ibanez guitars, in spite of their being able to afford buying their own instruments like the rest of us? check

As for who I am, you have completely misrepresented me. I am not the person that you described. But that is the folly of the weak-minded - to build a straw man to attack, to "rage against". The problem is that this straw man is not real, nor representative of reality. It is an old manipulative trick, and that dog won't hunt here son.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 11:03 PM

5:39 - Connery is definitely at the top of that list, but everything else underneath is in the wrong order. It should look more like this:
Connery > Brosnan > Craig (yes, Craig) > Dalton > Moore > Lazenby > RATM.
Roger Moore was overrated.

Posted by Anonymous | August 1, 2011 11:09 PM

11:03: That's a lame spin. I can see why you've been roughed up on the playground often, but that's no reason to spew your racist tongue at me.

I don't begrudge anyone who earns a lot of money with the exception of pole-smoking Marxist chimps who do not live by what they espouse. They're a fucking joke. It's really that simple.

Wow.. A Rage Against The Machine post, 100+ posts? Jesus.. lots of angry people.

RATM actually changed my life, to be brutally honest. Watching The Matrix and listening to 'Wake Up' at the end credits, at a time when rock music hadn't even entered my 13 year old life (somehow Classical came from), is what started it all for me. I don't even listen to them at all, but that song seriously changed my life hahah. It's hilarious to think of it.

Posted by Cruddler | August 1, 2011 11:26 PM

11:00- I never put the straw man on you. I specifically left the idenity of those that subscribe to that behavior as a general group. Only they know the hyprocrisy with which they live by. Also, when a band performs once a year, $100 is not to much an asking price and, in this specific case, if you'd look at the pictures above, there where 5 other acts to take in. Easily worth $100. Everything else you've said just sounds like whining which, from your 9:47 post, makes you, my friend, a hypocrite.

...Throughout the hour-and-15-minute set, Rage pulled its weight, proved itself to be one of the only rock bands on Earth able to captivate such a large space. Its conquest was so assured, in fact, that it jumped back in time to render an earlier set moot...."

sorry i inadvertantly started this.

look - theres a difference between being successful on your OWN terms - ie: fugazi playing all-ages, non-clear channel/livenation shows, SELF-releasing their music, um, not doing cheesy best buy commercials in the nineties or whoring themselves out to mtv - and doing it by directly contradicting everything you puport to stand for and preach about. if they made millions of dollars and drove range rovers (??) from doing things in an honest, grassroots, socially-concious way, then no-one would care! but they havent. and thus, 90% of the mass audience they've "reached" are a bunch of post-nu-metal douchebags who couldnt care less about Leonard Peltier.

do you get it now?

Posted by k | August 2, 2011 6:12 AM

It totally get it. You make valid points, and I agree that a left-leaning band that claims to be for the down-trodden people charging $100 per ticket is ludicrous. And yes, lots of their fans are meatheads that have no clue about what exactly Zach is yelling about. But that's what happens when you aim towards the masses. Masses=meatheads. But if you're able to get even 1% of those meatheads to start reading books, and start questioning what's going on in the world, then I think that they still had an important impact that should not be dismissed.

The best part is all the references to them being doo doo and just overall unfunny childish comparisons, and then people like them go on to say RATM is for highschoolers. Sometimes I feel embarassed that you are a part of the human race lol.

Yeah.. pretty crazy when people actually use logic and think things out instead of just bullshit ignorance... odd

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 10:42 AM

I used to be a crew member for RATM during Evil Empire and Renegades. Yes, it is true. The members of Rage are well off. But none of you realize how much more well off they could be if they didn't donate millions of dollars to the causes they sing about. They are true philanthropists and activists but unlike Tom Morello, remain very private about it. Tom is more public than the other members. These guys give back tenfold what they make and unfortunately people will believe what they want about them but those who have worked with them and those that know them, know the truth. They are not sell outs, Zack does NOT drive a Range Rover. Do they have to put up with some of the corporate BS that plagues the music industry? Of course. They return the favor to the rest of the world in ways you can't imagine...

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 10:58 AM

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 1:49 PM

Wow.....mighty ignorance on display here.

Why is the American youth lost, floating aimlessly towards inevitable ineptitude? Because they dont know their history and they spend their energy tearing shit they dont understand down, as opposed to learning about something new.

Do you care there are hundreds of thousands of starving children in Africa?

Do you care that the Arab world is in a state of revolt, for conditions attributable to the actions of your own country?

Do you care that our political system isnt broke----it is working exactly how a fascist state is supposed to work?

Aside from anonymous online posturing, and trying desperately to find the next consumer trend just ahead of the masses you so invariably sneer at-----what do you care about?

That's typical BV commenters for you. However, in this case it seems to be magnified. Being in the minority feels weird sometimes here, lol.

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 2:19 PM

@ 2:05 I'll do you a favor and answer your question. All though you did not have the decency to answer mine. I typically refer to the genre as rap/metal so I guess Limp Bizkit is almost the same as them although I dont like them very much. However from that genre I do like Linkin Park, Beastie Boys and Cypress Hill just to name a few. I'd say have a fairly vast minority if they have sold 16 million records world wide.

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 2:22 PM

Hey 2:05 ... here's some mud in yer eye, palsy

"Do you care there are hundreds of thousands of starving children in Africa?"
And just how much money and time did you donate during this past 12 month period toward legitimate charities that: dig wells to provide potable water; inoculate children against preventable diseases; provide oxen and farming equipment to the population; and work against human trafficking? I'd really like to hear and HONEST answer to that. "Everybody want to go to Heaven / nobody wants to die"

"Do you care that the Arab world is in a state of revolt, for conditions attributable to the actions of your own country?"
Now, the US has propped up brutal dictators to serve it's own means, as does Russia, China, UK, Japan, Saudi Arabia, France, and every other nation on earth. But that doesn't explain a widespread culture of brutality and violence in those states ... "He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers."

"Do you care that our political system isnt broke----it is working exactly how a fascist state is supposed to work?"
Couldn't agree more, but the problem is not solved by spending $100 to hear a shitty band, or by ready Das Kapital. The problem is solved incrementally, first by revoking the charter of the Federal Reserve, shrinking the size and power of the federal government (and it's wasteful entitlement programs) and reasserting constitutional limits of power upon all three branches of government. "If you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao / you ain't gonna make it with anyone anyhow"

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 2:29 PM

Also the individual before you commented about all the more pressing issues in the world. This is the same reason why I listen to this band. They bring a lot of light to these issues. Whether people take their message in or write them off as untalented is up to them. It would be a shame if you dont care about such things.

Posted by RageAgainstTheIgnorant | August 2, 2011 2:32 PM

Saw them at Woodstock '99...what a disaster that was. They were pretty much irrelevant then and basically incited aholes to be bigger aholes. Granted their set was pretty powerful + the weekend itself was a cluster, they should have rolled it in back then. Today, they just seem annoying.

Posted by BLG | August 2, 2011 2:33 PM

Here's a hint ... if you think that "they" are ignorant, you ought not look in the mirror too long for fear of what may "appear"

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 2:37 PM

shitty band, shitty music, shitty causes, shitty lives

shitty is as shitty does

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 2:38 PM

Wow people really just need to go their favorite bands webpage and stay there. What is the purpose of saying the band is "shitty" and what not. I mean it would make more sense if you just said something like "Was never a fan" or just simply fucked off and went somewhere else on the website. Like really man just let the people who do appreciate their music do so.

Posted by RageAgainstTheIgnorant | August 2, 2011 2:45 PM

Bands that I like get shit on here all the time, 2:45, and I find it rather amusing since that is part of what having actual musical passion results in. Maybe you need to just stick to yoga and comment on Huffpo with the rest of the effeminate gerbils.

Here's hoping they come to NY real soon...

OK, so applying that to RATM I suppose that they should STFU about all the stuff that they whine about too. But that won't happen either, and honestly I share their hatred of hypocrisy (although I don't share their hypocrisy)

"but I guess that would go against the point of Rage..freedom of speech and all."
er, I would claim freedom of speech to be an American right not a stance of some two-bit band. America, and our fathers and mothers, gave you more than you could ever pay back. Stop whining and do some actual good in this world, like get a job.

Still waiting to hear about the charitable donations on the Left, and all the actual good things wrought from all this bitching. Until then, don't get mad at me for pointing out the hypocrisy.

It's because the typical BV indie trendy losers will attack anything that isn't related to their scene (probably from living lives of misery), yet when asked what they DO like they suddenly get silent on that. Simple: They don't want you finding out because then you'll go after they're precious little bands. And in real life it parallels. Here, they dish it out but can't take even a fraction of it. In real life, they wouldn't dare say this shit to people's faces, since they don't want a quick check-in to the intensive care unit.

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 3:33 PM

I asked about your lifestyle choices, "bra". and you didn't answer me. so stop bitching about how the world did you wrong.

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 3:35 PM

"In real life, they wouldn't dare say this shit to people's faces, since they don't want a quick check-in to the intensive care unit"

I would totally say all the shit I said here right to your face. And you putting me in intensive care ... well, if I were you I might wait until you see what you're dealing with. Of course, I could say the same to you, but I didn't because I would rather point out the hypocrisy of the Left by reason and discourse. Happy to have coffee and talk like civil adults too.

You divine this from people making fun of Rage? I fucking hate them, and it ain't because I'm chain-locked to a scene. My favorite bands tend to be on the VU branch of the rock tree, but Nirvana is my favorite band ever and I'm sure that I'll get plenty of crap for it. My comment was regarding people who just needlessly slag some band (not even necessarily RATM) in some shitty, obnoxious manner and then when I ask "Well, what bands do YOU prefer?", I never get a response. I was explaining why that was the case. See, you actually told me what you like (although I can't help but wonder that it took a post like mine to finally get a response like the one I originally wanted), and no you won't any crap from me about liking Nirvana or VU. I was more or less attacking the stereotypical BV commenters (taking in the general demographic) who spew nonsense shit in order to feel superior.

Millionaire mass market mall rock infused with loopy fringe leftist politics. What's not to love?

Posted by Anonymous | August 2, 2011 5:13 PM

I am amazed that anyone disparages RATM.

I was at the show and they were phenomenal.

It makes no sense to flame them here because there are so many other places to go to get the sounds you need.

That said, if Wavves has a reunion show in ten years to celebrate their seminal discography, I will meet all the RATM haters on the corner of Bedford and North 5th and hand out dollar bills the day of the show. Bring your handlebar moustaches, your Sailor Jerry skin art, your long corduroy knee pants and your hummus.

Maybe flaming here is all you've got creatively. Fair enough.

A. Things people who live in an echo chamber say?

Well, yeah, BV is like the Fox News Situation Room of 'indie' rock

anger is a gift as well as everything else,

what a group of self righteous twats
hey, i was inspired to read books by my own intellectual curiosity, and i found that RATM are full of hot air and pointlessness
exactly like the kid behind the counter at starbucks that can't figure out what it takes to make the changes necessary to adapt to a more productive life
but i don't begrudge them as much as all of you sheep that look up to them. you all are like pigeons pecking at invisible bread crumbs on the street, and the occasional dried puke. you know, lots of good healthy food can be found around you if you lift your vision higher.

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2011 8:10 AM

:) people perception is unique, why state something so specific and non constructive , your ego will not last like this for too long
or maybe it will, and you will die with an inflated ego and have lived a good life full of selfesteem, although your brain is shit.

start a crossword puzzle with a fountain pen, don't toss it away in fear

most of the haters are so scared to look within themselves that they just divert their attention on random rantings

Do you get it?, nothing you say matters
YOU DON'T MATTER!
WAKE UP AND GO OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE!

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2011 8:19 AM

so, if you like the band you are enlightened, and if you don't you have a big ego?

is that your final answer?

sorry, but your post is as rambling and unfocussed as the Unibomber Manifesto. i would not be surprised to find out that you have more than a few ideals in common with that criminal either.

Rage Against The Machine
brought to you by Sony, Range Rover, Ibanez, Facebook and Ticketmaster

Posted by Anonymous | August 3, 2011 8:37 AM

So you been to school
For a year or two
And you know you've seen it all
In daddy's car
Thinkin' you'll go far
Back east your type don't crawl

Play ethnicky jazz
To parade your snazz
On your five grand stereo
Braggin' that you know
How the niggers feel cold
And the slums got so much soul

It's time to taste what you most fear
Right Guard will not help you here
Brace yourself, my dear:

It's a holiday in Cambodia
It's tough, kid, but it's life
It's a holiday in Cambodia
Don't forget to pack a wife

You're a star-belly sneech
You suck like a leach
You want everyone to act like you
Kiss ass while you bitch
So you can get rich
But your boss gets richer off you

Well you'll work harder
With a gun in your back
For a bowl of rice a day
Slave for soldiers
Till you starve
Then your head is skewered on a stake

Now you can go where people are one
Now you can go where they get things done
What you need, my son:.

Is a holiday in Cambodia
Where people dress in black
A holiday in Cambodia
Where you'll kiss ass or crack

Pol Pot, Pol Pot, Pol Pot, Pol Pot

And it's a holiday in Cambodia
Where you'll do what you're told
A holiday in Cambodia
Where the slums got so much soul

I stumbled onto this review through Google and was reading through all this Rage hate and not sure why everyone seems like such bitter hipster douche bags. "What is this fucking obscure website people are wasting so much time one?" Scroll scroll scroll "Vegan?! hahaahah these tards think their opinions matter to anyone other than other smelly hipsters. Poor souls"
