DOWNLOAD: Mekons - "Space in Your Face" (MP3)

UK country punks Mekons are back with their first full length since 2007's Natural. The new LP, their 26th, titled Ancient and Modern, is set for a September 27 release on their own reactivated Sin Record Company, which the band used to release their recordings in the mid to late '80s. Grab the album's lead track, "Space in Your Face," above and check out the artwork and tracklist below.
The Mekons will go on a short tour in support of the album following its release that culminates with two NYC shows. They'll play Brooklyn on October 7 at The Bell House ('A Wild Night Out with the Electrified Mekons') and then conclude their tour the next night, October 8 at City Winery ('A Quiet Night in with the Acoustic Mekons'). Alt folk singer/songwriter Chris Mills opens the Bell House show. Tickets are on sale now for the Bell House show and the City Winery show.

They were fucking awesome at the Bell House acoustic a few years ago. Still a tight band, and hilarious stage banter.
