Shed RMX

"Alec Baldwin will be in some rockin' good company when he hosts Saturday Night Live for a record-breaking 16th time on Sept. 24. Grammy-winners Radiohead, who last stopped by Studio 8H in 2000 with host Kate Hudson, will help Baldwin kick off the 37th season of SNL as musical guests. Radiohead's latest record, The King of Limbs, was released back in February." [EW]
Radiohead releases TKOL RMX 1234567, a double CD of all the commisioned remixes for The King of Limbs via tbd Records on October 11. Full tracklist below.

The remixes all come from the series of twelve-inch singles the band has been releasing since July. The next one, pictured above, is out August 15th.

More importantly.... Radiohead in NYC on Sept 24? A US release on Oct 11? Let's hope that means live shows too!

Their last album was complete GARBAGE. It should have been called, the eraser pt.2.

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 11:43 AM

Doubt they're going to do an actual NYC show, unless it's a secret one or something. Apparently they're looking into touring on the new record but this seems to soon to be an actual show on a tour.

Secret show in Frohawk's tight denim booty pants.

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 12:22 PM

Please stop sucking this massively overrated band's prick.

Posted by Thee Nick Valensi | August 13, 2011 2:06 PM

2:06p are you copy:pasting that comment into every RH thread. Get over your too cool for school cwazy self.

Aren't you missing an ironic tshirt sale somewhere in Bklny?

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 2:56 PM

I heard Frohawk hired LCD Soundsystem to cater the event. James Murphy and Nancy Whang will be walking around holding various pita chips and various hummus recipes.

Thee Nick Valensi = too gay for Cut Copy

radiohead=the band whose singer has downs syndrome
arcade fire=the band whose singer has Hydrocephalus

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 3:36 PM

SNL standby line here I come. I unapologetically love Radiohead. Alec Baldwin's the real tool of this event, though. Met him, worked with him, hate him but love 30 Rock. Life is funny like that.

Posted by Doc | August 13, 2011 4:18 PM

I've done the NL standby line a few times. There's NO WAY you'll get in for Radiohead. Plus, it's the first show of the season, no?

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 4:40 PM

hey look! a possible radiohead show! ...that will be sold out in a blink of an eye.... and scalpers will.... and ticket prices will be.... and..... bummer :(

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 4:48 PM

4:40- Thanks for the head's up. Yeah, it's the season premire. Shot in the dark, I know, but I gotta try.

Posted by Doc | August 13, 2011 5:00 PM

There are a lot of factors with the SNL line. I think sometimes a big famous band is better because they're already established and won't bring a huge guest list. And the weather counts for a lot. But first show of the season, and Radiohead, will mean some people will probably line up days before. I think people have lined up as early as Tuesday. I'd guess between Live and Rehearsal, you'd have a good chance being in the first 60 people. But that means you'd probably have to line up like noon the day before.

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 5:23 PM

^ the standby line doesn't matter if everyone shows up that received tickets

it is conceivably possible that even the first person in line won't get in

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 6:23 PM

5:23- Great suggestions. I've actually slept on that block before waiting outside the Nintendo store when the Wii first went on sale. For this, gotta put in vacay at work, but if you swing by the NBC studios a couple days before the taping, you just might see me there. I'll be the guy looking dirty and crazy. For Radiohead, it is worth it.

Posted by Doc | August 13, 2011 6:26 PM

Isn't Thom Yorke super concerned about the whole carbon footprint bullshit? There is no way he'd fly all the way to NYC for a single show at SNL. Radiohead will absolutely plan more gigs around this, if only to justify the carbon footprint they left getting here.

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 6:48 PM

holy shit. i just got floor tickets to the hammerstein show on waste.

anyone else? link is already gone. hit it on a whim and lucked the fuck out.

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 10:05 PM

got them too. and yeah, link seems to have disappeared as quickly as it went up. was $60 a ticket, but more than worth it.

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 10:06 PM

this is why i hate how radiohead does fan ticketing.

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2011 10:09 PM

Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2011 12:11 AM

The Hammerstein rumors are false and the work of one guy posting numerous comments...

They are playing Bowery the next night, 9/25. There will be a limited public onsale similar to Kanye West last year. Look for details, they are coming.

Posted by Anonymous | August 14, 2011 3:29 PM

^Umm yeah sure...they are not playing a small club show...Last time they did that was when 95?

Posted by Anonymous | August 15, 2011 9:39 AM
