Simian Mobile Disco

Simian Mobile Disco are kicking off an international tour this month which begins with a DJ set on Saturday, August 6 at Warm Up. They'll also DJ a FIXED party later that night (8/6) at Public Assembly with FIXED DJs JDH & Dave P. Tickets for the Public Assembly party are on sale now.

Simian Mobile Disco recently made a mixtape for Feel My Bicep. According to the duo, "This mix is a little bit different to our club sets - mixture of more leftfield early electronics, krautrock, ambient etc..." They've also got a new video for "Gizzard" and a trailer video for their Summer 2011 live show. Check those out along with all dates, FIXED flier, and the full PS1 lineup below...

How does anyone enjoy dj sets? Its like cool, you're matching a beat from two songs. Will Frohawk be handing out Hummus infused with doses of ecstacy? I hope for everyone's sake he will be.

Not gonna try to top the above two accurate gems. Only going to agree. Watching two guys turning knobs for a bunch of rhythmically challenged whiteys is good how? The phrase "Faking the funk" should have pictures of artists like this beside the definition.

Anyone knows if the tickets for PS1 will be available in advance somewhere? Or at which hour SMD will play? Thnx

if you guys can't come out, dance and have a good time then you should probably just stay home. Too funny.

Has any audience ever really been livened up from one of these DJ sets? It's seems like no one really gets into it, coming off as some background music.

DJ sets > 99% of indie bands > 100% of folk bands
