Suicidal Tendencies at Terminal 5 (more by Meghan McInnis)
Suicidal Tendencies

Announcement coming soon.
Vans is bringing ST back East for 3 shows.
September 16th Brooklyn (private show)
September 17th Long Island
September 18th Starland Ballroom N.J.
More info shortly...
Suicidal Tendencies made the above announcement on their website, and though the private show details haven't (won't?) be announced, good money would put Suicidal Tenencies at The House of Vans on 9/16 (not one of the FYF-presented RSVP-able shows though).

Meanwhile, details regarding the 9/17 and the 9/18 shows HAVE emerged.... both are with Sick of It All! Tickets for 9/18 at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ and 9/17 at Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, NY are on sale.

Suicidal was one of the many bands who avoided catastrophe at the Pukkelpop disaster last week. They wrote:

"Thanks to all that emailed and were concerned about the bands safety.
ST is at Pukkelpop, but were set to play today, friday August 19th.
Pukkelpop, the largest festival in Belgium, is a three day event.
Needless to say, the rest of the festival has been cancelled.
Everyone in the band, crew and family, just want to say our thoughts and prayers are with all the families and friends of all the people that were hurt, injured or so sadly the 5 that passed away"
All SOIA dates and some video is below.

Doesn't matter, they'll probably get hit by a car anyways

My brother's band opened for ST in Columbus, OH back in the 80's. His band played one of the best sets of their short career and being the hometown fave, set the bar high. Well, you would think that ST who were soaring high at that point would not disappoint, and you would be wrong. ST were so fucking horrible. Mike Muir could not even hold a note. He could not sing to save his life. Total prima donnas, not Dogtown chollos, like they fancy themselves. And to further their dickishness, they planted one of their cheap effects boxes in my brother's band van and accused them of stealing from them. Sadly for ST, the accusations fell on deaf ears, as their openers came from rich homes and had nicer equipment than the major label signed, faux chollos. God what a fucking horrible band.
That said, still love "Institutionlized", "I Saw Your Mommy," and "Possessed to Skate." Classic Dogtown hardcore.

They were great last time I saw them. Even if they suck at least SOIA are always incredible live.

just say no to bands that wear a shirt or hat with their own name on it. also basketball shorts on stage.

Sick of it all are still the best live band in NYC. If you disagree, you've never been to a soia show. Just saw them play to 100 people in NJ; still the coolest guys around. Miss the days when their roadies used to beat up everyone at their own shows: Toby h2o, minus, ezec..good times.

you're all idiot hipsters. Suicidal rules and will always rule. Go back to your Amy WInehouse and Yeah Yeah Yeahs and shut the fuck up

10:40 What makes you think any of the commentors are hipsters? They all seem to know what they are talking about. Suicidal are not essential by any means, and that's my opinion.
