Youth Lagoon
Youth Lagoon

As mentioned, details were floating around about a Youth Lagoon show at Glasslands with Gardens & Villa. Those details have since been cleared up. The show is part of a tour that both bands will go on together after Youth Lagoon goes on his headlining tour in September. The Gardens & Villa/Youth Lagoon tour will end up hitting Glasslands on September 30 with Gem Club and will also include another NYC show the next night, October 1 at Mercury Lounge. Tickets for the Glasslands show and the Mercury show go on sale Friday (8/5) at noon. Mercury Lounge tickets are currently available for AmEx pre-sale.

The 9/30 Glasslands show is Gem Club's only scheduled show at the moment, but according to their website, they are currently planning a fall tour in support of their new LP Breakers, which drops September 27 via Hardly Art. Grab an MP3 of the album's title track above.

NYC-via-Australia producer Young Magic has been added as an opener to Youth Lagoon's 9/12 show at Mercury Lounge. Tickets for that show are still available. Young Magic also plays the 9/10 Glasslands show with Ill Fits. The "You With Air" b/w "Sparkly" single, released this past February, is available at his bandcamp. Name your price.

In other Youth Lagoon news, he recently posted the lyrics to the three album tracks that have been floating around the internet, "Cannons," "July," and "Montana" on his blog. Check them out, that distortion-covered voice has got a lot to say. Also stay tuned for a video.

All dates and a new Gardens & Villa video for "Spacetime" off their recently released Secretly Canadian self titled debut are below...

I first saw youth lagoon on a local music show on PBS.
This kid cant sing, cant write... I dont understand why anyone would ever subject themselves to his music willingly.
Lord, I thought hip hop was awful, but this hipster crap is truly loathsome. I know, ever one will label me a hater... but I just like good music that requires actual talent.

This obnoxious prick is a scourge. Unfortunately, today, popular music is determined by mentally challenged teen girls and sexually confused emos.
