DOWNLOAD: Zoot Woman - Things Are What They Used To Be (Desire Remix) (MP3)

British electro-rock trio Zoot Woman are doing a quickie "tour" of the States, hitting Le Poisson Rouge on Wednesday (8/10) before jetting to the West Coast for dates in San Francisco (Rickshaw Stop 8/11) and the O.C. (Pacific Festival 8/13).
The trio of Adam Blake, Johnny Blake and Stuart Price have been making records for ten years and some of you might remember them for early '00s club hits like "Living in a Magazine" and "It's Automatic." Their most recent album was 2009's Things Aren't What They Used to Be and you can download a remix of that album's title track at the top of this post.
The band are in some ways best known for bassist Price who co-wrote much of Madonna's 2005 album Confessions of a Dancefloor and is a sought-after remixer under various pseudonyms. Among those are Jacques lu Cont, under which he put out two pretty good albums as Les Rythmes Digitales in the '90s when Air and Daft Punk were all the rage. Price was also working on a "synthesizer album" with New Order frontman Bernard Sumner but that has apparently been put on the backburner. He's a busy guy and doesn't always tour with the band -- unsure as to whether he'll be there on Wednesday.
The LPR show is with 33Hz, The Kickdrums and DJ Alex English. Tour flyer and Zoot Woman videos are below.

I would have jumped to see them live 5-6 years ago. I don't think that I can muster up enough energy to check them out a LPR.... especially on a Wednesday! Their music is so clean & tight!
