In case you missed the announcement,
We're throwing a BrooklynVegan Holiday Party at Music Hall of Williamsburg on Tuesday, December 13, 2011! What does that mean? Well, so far it means a set of music by Mercury Prize nominee Anna Calvi (she lost to PJ Harvey) and a low ticket price of $8.00 with $1.00 from every ticket going to to Toys For Tots! Stay tuned for more details, including lineup additions, but tickets go on sale next Friday, September 16th (which is one day before another BrooklynVegan event takes place). Tickets will be on ticketmaster, but you can also get them without a fee at the Mercury Lounge box office, or at the MHOW box office on Saturdays. And since this show is happening at a Bowery Presents venue, there's also an AmEx presale which starts today (9/14) at noon. National tickets went on AmEx presale at 11am.

Let's get the facts straight - a woman that oh so few people have even heard of lost out to one of the seminal female vocalists of our entire era. and we get the runner up. Want to guess what second prize is? ... a set of steak knives.

"agreed, this should be free, with free beer"
everything should be free with free beer, but sometimes an extremely reduced ticket price with some of it even going to charity is good too! (also we're working on that free beer - no guarantees though).
thanks!
