Ian Love of EX-Rival Schools fame (more by Chris La Putt)

Rival Schools will be down one pivotal member when they embark on their tour this October with Hostage Calm...
We regret to announce that our good friend Ian Love has decided to part ways with Rival Schools. He is a tremendous talent who will be missed greatly and we wish him well in his future endeavors. No replacement at the moment. They'll play as a three-piece on this tour that hits The Bell House on October 27th. Tickets are still available. All dates are listed with some videos below...
Meanwhile, the rest of us will be continuing Rival Schools a pace, gearing up for our October US tour which kicks off October 14th in Philadelphia at the First Unitarian Church. We're looking forward to the new music we're working on, new recordings and the next chapter for Rival Schools.

Dear Walter, if you read this, please just put Quicksand back together and ride the '90s nostalgia wave. Hell, I don't care if you put together a scab version of Quicksand where you're the only original member, just as long as you play Quicksand songs I'll be happy. Thanks.

Wake me up when Quicksand gets back together. Or another Gorilla Biscuits tour. Just not this crap.

10:54 pretty much spot on. I'd even deal with a karaoke Quicksand with some random dude singing Quicksand songs backed by a live band.

I hate to say it but the band doesn't work as a three piece.

Huh...well is it because Ian Luv wants to do more "shoegaze" type shit and Rival schools wants to rock or is it because Walter wants to do more folk style songs and Ian wants the rock???
Anybody???
Anybody?
Bueller???...Bueller???

10:54 - Yes! Quicksand is prob the only 90's hardcore-crossover band that I would still care about today! If they toured with Orange 9mm as opener, I would LOVE IT!!!!

Dickheads. Quicksand was amazing, but they're over. Either appreciate and support RS for what they're doing or get the fuck off this page. Get into this decade you fucking hay-dayers.

Agreed, Rival Schools will not work as a three piece. Get a session dude, anything. I don't want to hear the songs minus the tasty lead stuff. I would rather listen to Simply Red on repeat.....Seeya..... now I'll just sit and wait for the long overdue Seaweed album :(
