FNO

Today (9/8/11) is Fashion's Night Out which means tons of free events in stores and late night shopping throughout NYC. We've already mentioned events happening with Real Estate, Memoryhouse, Neon Indian, Andrew WK, Beth Ditto, White Rabbits, Best Coast, and members of MGMT/Chairlift/Violens. There are more.

You can browse the FNO website to find stuff, or you can instead check out the handy list we compiled by doing that for you, below....

Foster the People aren't performing at Lacoste at 6pm. They're performing at the Lacoste afterparty at 11pm at the Gansevoort. The 6pm 5th Avenue store thing is just a public appearance, not a performance. Will still be impossible to get into.

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 12:12 PM

every one of the bands ought to be ashamed of themselves

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 12:13 PM

Just how I like my concerts... tied to corporate promotions and with an audience consisting mostly of obnoxious rich people more interested in being seen than hearing the music. Oh and also with really shitty bands playing.

Yep, FNO is the music event I have been waiting for!

People. Please listen to me. When you're out ordering espresso the next time, keep in mind, KEEP IN MIND(!), there is no "x" anywhere to be found in that word. SO STOP PRONOUNCING IT AS IF IT WERE EXPRESSO!!!

Ya'll need to put down your Billyburgers and start paying attention to what really matters in this post-LCD Soundsystem world.

kthxby

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 12:27 PM

James Murphy will actually be DJing Peter Pan doughnuts on Manhattan Ave. 6pm.

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 12:28 PM

Hannah friggin Bronfman? Geez another child of the Billionaire wanna be music guy living off daddy's name? Her brother failed out as a musician and label owner and only made his name as MIA's baby daddy. What pathetic times we live in.

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 1:06 PM

Fashion parties are similar to hummus without the paprika on top. You can eat it, and enjoy it, but it's just not that flavorful.

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 1:20 PM

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 1:20 PM

Fuck this crap.

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 1:33 PM

So glad none of you will be out at these events this evening.

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 1:40 PM

I WISH I didn't know who foster the people are.

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 1:55 PM

I will be at all these events wearing my VERY fashionable clothes, sipping on the Pinot Noir, chatting about the stock market, doing lots of cocaine, and acting slightly gay. (which is all part of the fashion scene)

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 2:01 PM

Posted by Anonymous | September 8, 2011 6:24 PM

Well, Peter, Bjorn, and John aren't paying me to care about Foster the People. They're paying me to keep quiet about what I know. And that's exactly what I'm going to do. So shove off, Jack. This ain't your racket no more.

Posted by Anonymous | September 9, 2011 3:39 AM
