^no kidding man. i never like to throw around the "sold out" insult but their commercial success and boringness have both been steadily increasing in line with each other.

Remission/Leviathan 4 life.

Sad to say this is a miss. Good to know it's not just me who feels that way though. Remission/Leviathan were great at a time when Metal was a dull and lifeless parody of itself. Now Mastodon is a dull and lifeless parody of a shitty band...

i don't know if it's really selling out - i think they may just have run out of ideas early. all the energy is gone and has been since... whatever that crap was after Leviathan.

11:49: Yep. I remember Remission quite well. In fact, I just listened to it the other day!

Leviathan was nice, but it kinda felt like Remission-lite.

The new mastodon stuff is pretty terrible. Commercialized vocals and uninspired tunes. Sad.

as an incentive to show up, idle hands is offering half price sausage.

I was so disappointed with this, glad I'm not the only one.

I only like the bootleg of the soundcheck of their first show.
