Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:04 PM

Your revolution is over, Mr. Lebowski! Condolences! The bums lost! My advice is to do what your parents did - get a job!

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:07 PM

Why are so many people being dicks about #occupywallstreet and the protesters? These people are working for change ob behalf of ALL OF US! Its not cool to sit on your computer and call motivated activists holsters and hippies. They are doing more than you are! So please everyone, stop being dickheads.

Posted by kevin c | September 30, 2011 4:08 PM

Hoaxed!? The band has been saying for HOURS they would not be there.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:08 PM

now they've really got a reason to riot

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:08 PM

i have this aching suspicion most of these people are protesting because of the market crash in 2008 (engineered by finance bankers) makes it hard for so many americans TO get jobs now - especially people of color already coming from underprivileged neighborhoods. or to even find full employment, rather than underemployment. i'm thankful that they are there protesting for the wellbeing of those who aren't benefitting as substantially from the system as those who are so keen to proclaim "get a job"!

Posted by tristan | September 30, 2011 4:09 PM

Bullshit!

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:09 PM

Radiohead is too busy investing their merchandising money with Wall Street to play music on Wall Street.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:10 PM

I want to protest Radiohead not showing up. What hotel are they staying at? Who's with me??

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:10 PM

I'm so happy this is over with!!

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:10 PM

LOL! all comments are GOLD for once! carry on! except the last two...very meh, no thought put into it.

but yeah seriously...get a job. this looks fun though...lucky bastards!

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:11 PM

sorry just smells so bad of a publicity grab - little faith before, even less now

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 4:11 PM

Thanks Kevin C! Those of us in the economic illiterate community appreciate your support.

Modern Weepers are Radiohead and the show's gonna be epic!

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 5:04 PM

The three dumbasses on Twitter that are trying to spread the Radiohead at Union Square rumor need to stop retweeting each other in order to make their hoax seem more legit.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 5:05 PM

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 5:17 PM

Don't you feel that some protesters just want celebrity and this is their only way to get it.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 5:17 PM

I feel nothing

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 5:23 PM

@ 4:08 FTW

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 5:30 PM

Radiohead is staying at Bowery Hotel, if you're quick you might catch them before they leave to play at my house with Daft Punk and LCD Soundsystem

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 5:36 PM

Now I'm hearing Thomas dj set at beauty too. Is that 4 real?

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 5:38 PM

Radiohead used to be good. Now they're boring hippies.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 5:59 PM

Damn straight 4:08! People like to call the protesters hippie losers, meanwhile it was people like them who got protection from capitalistic slave-driving company owners throughout the industrial revolution. They are people like me who have jobs, but take time out of their lives to protest and demonstrate so sane people will be heard, not just asshats like O'Lie-ly and Limbarf. Blame the losers sitting at their computers not PAYING ATTENTION to how the majority are getting fuqed over while corporations get even more money and benefits....

Posted by I-know-the-deal | September 30, 2011 6:02 PM

^ pointless.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 6:08 PM

Dudes, Radihead rule! I was at both shows because my dad gave me few grand when the Yanks clinched. I was in the white hat yelling for Wonderwall. I can't believe they never played that shiz. Only bad thing was I got a ticket on my Audi convertsble. And that my sweet 40 dollar shirt isn't tight enough to show off my new tat. So what I talk during the weird songs - what I'll kill you nerd. Too bad they didn't show up here today could of snuck out of my JP internship. Suck it pussies!

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 6:15 PM

Radiohead needs to go away

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 6:17 PM

If I were getting fucked over, I'd be doing something (something besides loitering on the street in front of some important building). Alas, I'm not. And, get this: I am doing something. After lots of hard work, I'm making myself and a "nameless, faceless" corporation money. Only, they treat me really well and as a whole the company is very conscious of ethics on a great many levels. So shut the fuck up already. I'm not a filthy hippy on the street and I'm not doing nothing - I'm in that strange gray area where I am accomplishing something ultimately satisfying to myself and a great many people (generally without making a big deal out of it - I've been flushed out this time, though). Doers have always and will always rule!

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 6:19 PM

Also, I hope these losers have enough self awareness to know how much of an embarrassment they've made of themselves today (and every day).

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 6:21 PM

Self-awaress among loony lefties? Ha! Look at the signs and shit they hold. They're not seeking to persuade or win people over. It's about self-fulfillment.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 6:34 PM

It's about selfish-fulfillment.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 6:41 PM

Radiohead no show is only news on BV and similar sites, not in the reality based world. Thus this means nothing. And if you think it woulda meant something, you obviously put too much faith in a band that hasn't had a REALLY good record since In Rainbows (and that's being generous).

In other news, our corporate overlords are still fucking you in the ass and you people are asking not for them to stop, but if they could help the assrape with some fucking hummus you unfunny dipshits.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 6:41 PM

I'm pretty sure Occupy Wall Street will just blame The Illuminati for starting the rumor.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 6:43 PM

6:19 - thank you.

this "protest" is utterly moronic. "Why is no one covering the wall street protest??wah!!" Its because there's absolutely no solution being proposed, just a bunch of fucking whiners.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 7:00 PM

I heard all members of Radiohead will fart simultaneously at the top of the Empire State Building tomorrow at 6 am...hoax or not? Should we line up soon?

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 7:16 PM

Thom Yorke can fart on me any day of the week! Call me Thom!

Posted by Morrissey | September 30, 2011 7:17 PM

Greed is good. Loitering on a street whining, without knowing what you're whining about or how to fix it, is bad.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 7:36 PM

My suggestion for a long term goal for this group of kids:

1) Go to an upstanding, recognized learning institution and learn all about the type of economics you would like to change. MAKE SURE TO GET A DEGREE. Half assing this like everything else you losers do will just land you in debt, unemployed AND you may finally realize what an absolute pantywaste you really are. Let's avoid that - it's pretty heavy on a kiddo.

You may need to go into debt to do this - don't worry, apparently "all these corporate types make gobs of money". You're going to go into debt doing what you're doing anyway. At least this way you, not I, will be paying off your debt.

2) Get a job (using your degree from step 1) and start actually implementing change the way you would like to see it - from the inside out. The amount of change you can get effect in your lifetime is a direct function of how hard you do quality work in a field and how long you do it. Sky's the limit here.

Plan B (whine, bitch, forgo showers) is obviously not working. Not even Radiohead likes you.

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 7:45 PM

^cool guy

Posted by Anonymous | September 30, 2011 8:00 PM

6:41 #2: "a band that hasn't had a REALLY good record since In Rainbows (and that's being generous). "

You do realize they've only released one album since then? So all you're really saying is that you didn't think TKOL was really good. Not exactly a scathing indictment.

Posted by Cheeseburger Party | October 1, 2011 1:59 AM

Metal knives do it like you want. Piss spills out of an open pejora.

Posted by Father Concubine | October 1, 2011 5:25 AM

Hahahaha these comments make me lol!!! ROFL!!! Even better will be when Greece defaults, everyone gets laid off again, our 401ks evaporate into thin air, and (best of all) cynical BV poster's trust funds disappear.LOL!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | October 1, 2011 8:13 AM

^ Well, we've established that you enjoy peoples' misfortune and LOLing. But you'll have to work a lot harder to express an actual point of view.

Posted by Anonymous | October 1, 2011 10:25 AM

Thanks for doing something! Pass on all the noise and people refering to anyone witha voice and a just cause as a "hippy" The natzis did the same thing calling the jews"rats", Always a week enemy will try to degrade

Power to the People!

Posted by Pete | October 1, 2011 11:01 AM

Yeah man. Power to the (fringe) people!

Posted by Anonymous | October 1, 2011 11:40 AM

I wish someone would touch my downstairs.

Posted by Anonymous | October 1, 2011 12:35 PM

you need a permit to play with amplification in nyc. radiohead isn't going to get a permit if the city thinks it will cause problems- that's just the most basic reason it should be obvious there'd be no 'free show' on wall st.

Posted by adsfy | October 1, 2011 3:22 PM

There's no posts about Radiohead today... only because there's no posts at all from BV. He's busy stalking them at their hotel.

Posted by Anonymous | October 1, 2011 4:15 PM

7:36 just finished The Fountainhead
