Ringworm at SXSW (more by BBG)
Ringworm

"Unfortunately, we've had to cancel the upcoming US fall tour due to circumstances out of our control." - Ringworm
They say that bad things come in threes, so let's hope that Ringworm's announcement is the last (after Mogwai and The Radio Dept). No word on rescheduled dates. Their tour with The Greenery was supposed to hit Public Assembly on 11/19. - BBG

does it technically count as the third loss if it's a band that no one cares about?

^ you're right. Radiohead is a huge corporate band at this point.

You Goof. Do not confuse The Radio Dept with Radiohead

stop drinking PBR and looking at smut while reading BV

I have it on good info that the reason they're cancelling the tour is because their collective b.o. presently exceeds legally acceptable limits.

Posted by Anonymous | September 26, 2011 8:12 PM

^ they were clocked three times over the legal limit.

NOT RINGWORM TOO

Posted by Anonymous | September 26, 2011 9:37 PM

they got ringworm from some bad sausage

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 12:09 AM

Ringworm never cooks their sausage well enough because they think raw is all tough, but this time they got tapeworm.

Mogwai = bummer, get well soon Stu
Radio Dept. = who?
Ringworm = damn NOW I'm upset ... after all, who is going to provide us with shockingly comment provoking pictures over the long cold winter of 2011-2012? Somewhere in Brooklyn, a sausage just drooped.

What's the Brooklyn Vegan editorial policy on band names that are singular nouns: are they singular or plural? Does one write: "Interpol is coming to town" or "Interpol are coming to town"? How does the publication treat band names that are plural? "The Beatles is a great band" or "The Stones are nothing without Mick and Keith"?

What if a band comprises a single person? "How to Dress Well is terrible" vs. "How to Dress Well are the best."

Posted by Regular reader | September 27, 2011 9:08 AM

What about the general term band? If three people are in a band, does Brooklyn Vegan prefer "That band is no good" or "This band are great"?

@ 9:07 - Nailed it.

8:20 it was the highest reading since Neko Case

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 10:10 AM

Neko Case she got some bad B.O. boy
That is highly unattractive on a girl
That and .... nah, that's about it
Other than that all chicks are dope
Chicks without B.O. that is

Please no more cancellations, this is getting depressing.

Posted by dream dildos | September 27, 2011 12:07 PM

and by "circumstances out of our control" we mean "our drummer contracted ringworm and it's kinda gross"

Posted by Anonymous | September 27, 2011 12:25 PM
